"ET is experiencing a Problem" AGAIN!!

(schmeisser) #1

I used to get this message once a week, crashes with a sound loop. Then once a week, now every time I start. I reloaded ET, ran spybot, no joy. When I log onto the main ET server list, I get like 5 servers, takes about 3 minutes to recognize these 5. WTF???

I’m getting the browser lockup again. Looks like another weekend of no players finding servers cause they use the dam ingame browser.
Guess i’ll go get Farcry and try it out…

why not use an external serverbrowser like ASE, so you can play ET all weekend long?!

I haven’t found an external game server browser that supports the filters of the ingame one. I don’t want to play on non-PB servers or ones that don’t enforce balanced teams.

I haven’t found a native linux external server browser. Anyone know of one?

(Rain) #6

XQF (which uses qstat)

Pathfinder shows you if PB is enabled in the main window, and you can see all other settings (like g_balancedteams) under “Show server info”.
The standard filters in ASE can already do more than the in-game browser, and if that’s not enough you can create your own.

I do use ASE… i was talking about others that can’t seem to get away from that ingame browser.
