ET is cool, but my problems suck... HELP!!!

I got my copy of this excellent game and I love playing it. But for some reason the game (almost) always starts up with weird yellow stripes moving trough the game (correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s simply because I’m Dutch!)
Ok, ok, it’s only the menu but it also affects the game so I can just count the frames. Get it? Well anyway, it’s REALLY anoying.

I can get rid of those problems by frequently reinstalling the game. That’s also beginning to bug me. But wait… There’s more… Yes, more I tell you because for some reason, the game hates me… :disgust:

And so, today I started my fav. game and I closed it because I had to reinstall the whole game… again. But I’m getting used at that so that’s not much of a problem. So I opened the game again. Hey! No yellow stripes flickering trough the menu! Cool! Ok, then I shall play. As my heart beats I clicked the magic button “play online”. But suddenly my heart stopped beating as I saw the game couldn’t find any servers. :banghead:

So, if anyone could help me, my heart will come back and I can play the game so I can live happily ever after.

itchy,

if your problem is yellow lines across the screen, my first guess would be video drivers - have you tried updating them ?

ùhum,

Als je zon aldy pc heb dan zitten er ouwe drivers op, dan moet je ff je video drivers opdaten (anders ook)

als dat niet werkt reinstalleren, anders weet ik het ook nie :bored:

i love multilingual forums

wenn du so einen aldi-pc hast, dann must du deine video treiber updaten. wenn das nicht hilft, weiss ich auch nicht

:bump:

I downloaded the latest drivers and I get those yellow stripes :frowning:

en nu nederlands: Err… Zolang als ik zelf nog geen computers maak voor de Aldi, heb ik geen aldi computer, dus over die drivers hoef je je geen zorgen te maken… :disgust:

But what about those server problems? Am I the only one with those problems??? :frowning:

ENGLISH!!

Anyways… :bash:

Its probably a driver issue. Care to give us your setup?

It doesn’t have anything to do with old drivers cause I downloaded new drivers recently. But you can have my specs anyway:

AMD Athlon 500 Mhz (Sometimes running at 800 Mhz for some reason, but I guess that’s an error in Windows:???: )
384 MB SD-RAM
An ASUS 7700 Motherboard (I’m not sure about that)
A GeForce 256 (Gotta love the oldies and it works perfectly  )
About 6 GB’s of harddisk space
and an 4.1 sound card from Sweex (or Sitecom or whatever you call it)
And offcourse WinXP Pro

I play allot of heavy games on this system like SoF2 and GTA3 and I play them all in the best graphic stands, so I guess it also issn’t because of that old graphic card in my pc. I do believe it’s an graphic problem because I just have to change the resolution and everything works fine again.

But issn’t there any solution for those server problems? It happened again today and it really sucks.
