When i went online to play ET this morning, all of my video settings had reset themselves. I execed my old config hoping it would fix the problem but it didnt. The main problem is that i cant get rid of the shadows cast by buildings trees etc. This becomes a real problem indoors because everything is black and i am barely able to see. Changing the brightness dosent help at all. Is there anyway i can fix this problem?

not sure if there is a way to turn off shadows, maybe cg_shadow?

If you get you’re settings fixed you should save the cfg as autoexec.cfg (or at least with a different name).
My experience:
If W:ET crashs all settings are reset to default.

just set all your settings once so they are fine and then set the etconfig.cfg write-protected… then ET will not reset them anymore
any future changes can go into your autoexec.cfg
