ET: Great Game, but some minor HUD tweak requests

Just like to say great job on ET. Best FPS I’ve played online by far, can’t wait for the map tools

There are a couple of HUD things that would be great for incorporation into any future client patches…

  1. Configurable text size on game messages. The standard text size I find way to big and clunky, and to be honest I never really read them. Even just a “smalltext” option would be good. There does seem to be a few “cg_” settings for the cfg file, but it does nothing…
  2. If I turn player crosshair naming off, it also turns off the warning symbol when targetting a CovOp in disguise. Can this be left on or at least made configurable?
  3. A key bind to show/hide the fireteam info box.

One non HUD issue: If I target an artillery strike through a window it targets the window. Very amusing the first (and only) time I did it. Pretty similar effect to targetting just as a teammate jumps in front of you. INCOMING! Run away…

Just press F2 when asked to join one or if you are automatically put into one then press the enter key on the num pad and choose the leave option which is option 2 I think… I dont see much use of the fireteam so I just leave it to whats set when I join a server.

Strongly agreed!

Yep, I do that currently, but fireteams are a good feature. What I would like to do is pop the fireteam box, select all (Ins) and then hide it. That way I see the fireteam icons above my teammates heads and can talk to my fireteam members but not have to have the box on display.
