ET Graphics Problem After Standby

(mg42) #1

Whenever I put my laptop into standby, wolfenstein et has a graphics problem.

A orange line about 3cm high flashes up and down the screen.

It is a pain.

I am running windows xp sp2, with an HP laptop.

I have applied the 2.60b patch.

Can you make a Screenshot?

Is the problem also in ‘sleep’?

(mg42) #4

No I tried but it doesn’t show it

(mg42) #5

what do u mean by sleep?

(Paul) #6

Most computers have sleep and stand-by modes, does it happen by both?

If you tried to make a screenshot, I assume there is something with your graphics card!

(mg42) #7

no it only happens in standby:armadillochase::stroggtapir:

Happens when you have 2 ET’s open, and you close one. The second one is only about 2/3rds of the screen. You need to reload ET.

(mg42) #9

No, I dont have 2 ets open.

Its not 2/3 of the screen either it just goes funny - a orange bar flashes up and down the screen

(Darkix) #10

I didn’t say you did, I said it’s the same concept. You need to reload ET. Or turn off Hibernation.

(mg42) #11

what do you mean by ‘Reload ET’?

(Nail) #12

re-install

(Darkix) #13

Restart, not reinstall.

nah ive tried that. doesnt work.

whenever my computer goes into standby mode, after that et stuffs up.

fixes after reboot.
