well its been a while. anyone heard anything? :banghead:

I’m not a mac fan myself, but i think when splash damages lead level designer pops in the conversation he might at least try and answer the macdude imho.
A simple yes/no/notyet/notinyourdreams/howwouldiknow would be sufficient.

They have previously stated that the descision is Activisions, not theirs. In the absence of money, it is pretty unlikely, IMO.
I use a Mac, but for ET I pretty much built a new PC (just for ET you hear? I spent that much money on a computer just so I could play this damn game!) . With a base to start with given to me by another player (mobo was fried, got a new one + new CPU, now I only use his power supply and CD drive…), I got a new PC, including monitor, for about $600…I really doubt that there will be a Mac version, and if you’re using anything but a nice G4, you’ll have trouble with the graphics. I suggest looking into getting a PC for ET (and other games…eh)
add another vote to the mac port. I have quite a few MacOS X friends who’d love to see it, too…
I know some of you guys don’t like macs, but OS X is alright - no need to do the buy a PC thing etc :drink:

ps if it is out of the developer’s hands, I’d really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction as to who to bug to get it. There’s a mac version of RTCW, surely porting an expansion wouldn’t be too hard.
I didn’t think it strictly needed an answer, to be honest - if there had been any developments we’d have posted about it on our news page (and on here most likely). Since -=M=-'s been registered on the forum since April I assume he was referring to the Mac ET threads we had in June (the biggest of which can be found here).
Just to sum up the situation:
ET is an id game, developed by us (SD) and published by Activision. As it stands, any decisions on ports are up to id and Activision.
We’re not a Mac developer, so we wouldn’t be the ones porting it anyway - we’d really have nothing to do with it beyond possibly providing support and/or media to any developer Activision chose to do a Mac port.
If you still think there’s a chance of a Mac port, you can either email Activision, or sign the Mac petition in the thread I linked above (or both, I guess).
I hope this clears things up.
