ET enhancements I would love to see

Lots of good suggestions here, one thing i havn’t figured out yet.

As a normal player, i get 120 hp, or 135 max when i get battle sense 3, yet medics get 156 health? Why the huge boost to medic health? I never thought of medic as a class that does all the fighting, but i constantly see medics at the top of every chart. They get the most speacilty XP because it’s so easy to rack up XP with packs/needles (much more so than the limited dynomite/mine kills for the engy for instance). Then on top of that they get a bunch more HP than other classes and they get healing to boot. That adds up to a super-SMG class and i find every time i play medic i can almost always win a 1v1 SMG battle. After playing medic a while i switch to another class, get in a 1v1 battle and i always get the feeling “wtf? how did i die so fast?” because i become aclimatised to the huge medic health.

What’s with this HP boost?

This is actually good idea, as long as:

covop is limited to one clip
he can’t fire heavy weapons
he can’t use alternate mode
he gets this ability at LEvel4 Covert Ops. Assasin reward in my opinion needs to be replaced either with this one, or those I posted in first post.

yhe engy has the nade rifle not dyno kills, the nade rifle will kill even a medic in one shot and close range that rifle is very very good, so i wouldnt complain if ur a engy they have alot at their disposal mines nade rifle dyno and alot of grenades, medic has a smg and health.

Ok fair enough, engy may not be the slowest class to get XP.

I’ll tell you what, i’ll keep watching the clan matches i spectate (for TsN) and i’ll tell you what i find. So far, every person who’s got “best medic” has also gotten best ranking officer, best XP, and numerous other awards.

Still, why does the medic get so much more health than anybody? I can see maybe 10 more health (for 145) but 156?

Borsuk do you just repeat your other threads, just give them a different name everytime? Cause I swear I’ve read this before… a hundred times.

And clearly by FUBARing Medics… that’s enhancing ET… like I said, same thread, different name.

/kill is there for a reason. Like say if someone stolethe objective and you’re too far away to get it, and or if somebody planted and you need to change classes to disarm it… having a 5 second penalty is insane, because it doesn’t afford the user enough time especially if there’s only 5 seconds to spawn. I could care less if the guy who damaged me the most got 3xp cause I /killed myself.

I really truely honestly hope they change NOTHING about this game… half of these ideas are just insane and would throw the balance way off. Like if I TK someone, whoever was shooting at him last gets 3xp? That’s just retarded. So many ways to abuse that, like off the top of my head, if a bunch of axis are running at you and some genius axis throws a strike and you know he’s going to obliterate his entire team… then just wildly fire at all the incoming axis guys and hope you do the most damage before the TK strike wipes them all out. Boom. Instant 15XP for shooting in the DIRECTION of 5 enemies. Bah… gettin all mad thinkin about it.

In any case… who the fuck cares about XP whores… unless they’re not helping in ANY way, then they should be booted, but if they’re actually helping the team but “xp whoring” then who fucking cares? You could get a team with players all 2000 XP and a team with players that have 700, and it’s still very possible for the team with 700xp players to win. :angry: Damn, reading this thread makes me angy. I promise not to read it anymore, after this next post.

Bridger did you play RtCW? If so… why are you asking that question now? It was the same exact way in RtCW only it wasn’t 156… it was more like 140 max(I think, it’s been so long) … depending on how many medics were on the team… everybody else had 120. To the best of my knowledge at least… but to answer simply, they’re medics, health IS their job.

Unless you’re the medics that Borsuk seems to always play against… who are apparent gods. I never have any real trouble with medics. Maybe the harder of the classes to take out 1 on 1… but they’re NOT gods.

I knew that # of medics affected something in RtCW, i thought it was team health? As in the more medics the more health of everyone on the team? I didn’t play RtCW much, and never in leagues.

How about the rate of fire adjustable for the 2 SMGs (mp40 and thompson) so you can have it from ET default all the way up to classic RCTW rate or any speed in between

That i was disapointed by, ET guns seem to fire semi-auto or something, what’s with the 200 Rounds per minute?

It’s not insane at all. If there are more than 5 seconds to spawn (which happens pretty often) you WON’T FEEL ANY DIFFERENCE, but player wanting to kil himself in the middle of firefight will.

I hope you are going to keep your word, because your repplies show lack of logical thinking. I already repplied to your statements in one of posts above, and it would be annoying to quote it.

Well I lied, but only because I find you deeply annoying.

There’s been plenty of times where I’ve had less than 5 seconds to change my class, spawn point and bring the console down to hit /kill. It is fine the way it is. If anything… -3 XP to the user who uses /kill, like in Regular Wolfenstein.

Frankly, the most annoying part is that these suggestions are sooooo outlandish. They clearly would be extremely flawed in their implementation and ET would not play the same after these suggestions.

Any change to gameplay at this point would have to seem to be a “natural progression” of where ET was going - it would have to fit in to the jigsaw puzzle of ET - they release a finish product, find one peice is missing, and release an update to put that peice in, that’s a “natural progression”.

What you are suggesting is to throw out the whole damn puzzle and put in a new one.

The fact that we are arguing about these suggestions at all is a clear argument against your suggestions.
