ET Crashing

In the last 3 days I’ve been getting continual ET crashing just as the map is about to load (t starts loading, progress bar reaches the end, screen darkness increases just a bit, and it crashes)… Anyone else?

I reinstalled… :-/

did you delete etmain when you reinstalled?
Note back up map files before deleteing this folder heh

Has this happened before the new installation?
If yes may be you have to many pk3-files in your etmain directory.
Copy some of them (you will need the pakX.pk3 files) to another directory.

try deleting (or moving to a backup folder) all the pk3 script files- the little 1-2 kb things-
et started crashing on me and stopped after i d/l them -
could always be coincidence though… :???:

too many pak files often causes problems

Yeah, I think it was a combination of too many customs and punkbuster.

Seems ok now.

I really hate those stupid mods that just change the sounds etc, just stick to the map. >_<
