ET Bugs

Here is all the bugs I have noticed in ET, SD please consider further studying into this.

  1. Sometimes when a player dies he instantly drops right to the floor without an animation. I think this is due to either him taping out or gibing him before he can hit the ground. SD I would really like this fixed.

  2. When proning and moving with the Moblie MG42 (And possibly other weapons that I cannot confirn) the weapond disappear in the players hand.

  3. Ping seems to be higher than original wolfy, also, muli-national players on one server seems to be laggier than usual (When I say “More than usual” it means that its more than original wolfy). Review your network code/unlag code.

  4. When reloading the FG42 the last stages warp instead of having a smooth animation. I don’t think this would take a lot of work to fix… just for vanity sake.

  5. 5 seconds till gamestate, may be problems with master server.

  6. This really isn’t a bug… but… somehow can you work on the foliage with the Radar map, a lot of players are getting dramatic drops in FPS in the foliage.

  7. This only happened once to me but it may have happened to other players. Game locks up on Awaiting Gamestate.

  8. “Double Shot” bug, you shot once, but you get two sound shots. I don’t know why this happens, but why does it seem so hard to fix?

Is there any e-mail adress that takes ET bugs anymore?

The only other bug I noticed besides those is the “topshot” accuracies don’t calculate right sometimes for the other weapons besides guns like the knife, grenade, or satchel. For instance I had an 80% accuracy with knife with 4/5 hits, but someone with 0/22 was listed in topshots. Also there is not much point of even calculating accuracy for smoke grenade so they should take that off the list.

  • Sometimes when you change your settings in the ‘system’ menu, it doesn’t do a vid_restart even when it should

  • the output from r_speeds only goes to the console, instead of displaying on the screen. Of course, when you open the console, it jumps your r_speeds way up.

not much thedy cna do here… there’s a lot more information that needs to be kept track of and sent out to all the players…

im surprised at how well they did for the quake 3 engine

the more complex a game is the harder it is manage

just think of games like counter-strike… the server has to keep track of crouching, jumping, moving, bullet shots, hit boxs, ammo amounts, bomb location, marks on walls…

that’s about it… ET keeps track of all that + a million other things…

Wait about 2 minutes and it will give you a new cdkey… join a server and you should be on your way.
