A friend of mine is getting disconnected from servers at random times with the error message “Bad cgame error trap”. He’s running ET on Windows XP, though I think he had this error when he ran it on Linux as well (Gentoo, don’t know which version).
He can reconnect normally after getting this error, only to get it again 5 minutes later.
Most servers we played on were ET Pro 3, could be that it happened only on those, I’m not sure.
Does anyone know what this error means and/or perhaps how we can fix it?

512MB PC3200 Kingston (also tried with an added 512MB PC2100 don’t know which brand)
Asus A7N8X-E DeLuxe
He hasn’t overclocked.
