My brother is currently on an internship for his architectural studies. He is working on an CAD-model of an multi floor building which he wants to transfer / remodel into ET. This should give a good walk-trough, which can be given for free to the customer on a CD. Only the weapons are a disturbance, it doesn’t look good when the customer runs with a gun trough his new home and the architect kills him with a mine or a airstrike.
Is there a “no weapons mod” for ET, which removes the violence and makes it a bit better suitable as a visualization tool?

ET will probably distort the view a bit, so it probably won’t quite look right anyway.
I think the point is that the mod should eliminate the guns, not just make them invisible.
No1_sonuk is right, cg_drawgun 0 is not enough. The gun still shoots even if it is invisible. And it is not just the guns: startscreen, limbo-menu, playermodel, sounds (armyboot footsteps), … need to be eliminated too.
To the distortion, it shouldn’t be a big problem. For this we have the official CAD-model and -drawings. It is just a little gimmick to let the customer walk trough his new house even if it is not yet built. Normal people are very impressed if something moves on the screen.
ETF has a civilian model that you could ask for permission to use, then create a new pk3 that replaces all of the regular sounds with null files. Guess you could replace the weapons models with a loaf of bread model or something - LOL, my that’s a big loaf of bread you have there
you might also wanna check if its legal to use this free software on a professional basis (dunno if ihs intership is paid or no or if it even matters). Sorry to be a drag but someone was bound to mention this.

Afaik this has been done before with some game. Maybe Quake or Q3 (if the latter, then it isn’t free, of course) ?
A trivial gamecode mod can take away the guns (or just launch with a config that doesn’t have +attack bound :P). Menus and stuff would be more work. All depend how much effort you wants to put in, and how ‘professional’ you want the result to be. It could be as simple as launching the game with a specific conifg, or nearly as complex as a total conversion…
Don’t underestimate the work required to convert a CAD model into a usuable ET level either. It isn’t easy.
Couldn’t it be done by only allowing Spectators?
Would be a code modification.

use any Home Design software, most allow dxf imports and have very good walkthrough and free cam modes
