You know whats funny? Griefing griefers. I found a kid aimbotter and used a buddy function to track which servers he went to. I would then TK him mercilessly while he abused me.

Just setup your server for auto PBSS. Constantly issuing the command on every player who prefires you will only raise your blood pressure and lower your enjoyment. Let PB worry about taking screenshots:

pb_sv_autoss 1

Put that in your server config (exactly like that, no “set” or “seta”). There are other cvars to fine-tune it, but that will get you started. If you’re streaming to www.punksbusted.com or www.pbbans.com when a cheater screenshotted, it will be valid evidence and you might even get a league cheater banned - a satisfaction definitely worth the initial hassle of setting up streaming.

Now, download the “/pb/svss” folder from your server periodically and “thumb” through them with SSChecker. Better yet, have them saved to a publicly accessible web directory if possible, and let your players do the work for you. People love to browse PBSSs.

Whatever you do, understand that the “good” hacks will spoof the shot or otherwise avoid detection, so a clean shot doesn’t necessarily mean a clean player. If you KNOW someone is wallhacking, spec them, record a demo, and view it with “/r_shownormals 1” to give a wallhack-like effect. Crank up the sound and wear headphones, pay attention to everything around the player. Maybe they’re just really smart and aware - a false accusation just makes you look like an ass.
