ET 2.60 Patch Selector Problem

(prophett) #1

I installed the new patch, fresh off a clean install of et. Then i installed a new patch selector, i click the 260.bat file to enable my et for play on 2.60 servers, but when i try to join i get the following message in the console:

“NET_SendPacket: WSAEConnrefused”

It repeats in the console. Have any of you had this problem? Suggestions?

Thanks.

EDIT: I reinstalled et and the new patch, here is the eror i get:

Seems like an etkey error, try deleting the “etkey” file and restart ET.

i did that, it still does not work. Thanks anyway

well from what you have written, you installed the 2.60 updater on a clean install of ET and then used the crappy patch selector to play 2.60? so you alreayd have 2.60 yet applied the 2.60 patch?
try a clean install and apply the official 2.60 patch and see if you can connect to a server just to make sure it isn’t the patch selector screwing up your files, also the patch selector where its named 260.bat and 102.bat will delete the old files when you try and swap so I wouldn’t recommend it

Patch Selector works fine here…

i get the same error after a clean reinstall of et and the patch, so the patch selector is not my problem :frowning:

Something is blocking the network connections of ET/PB, check your (personal) firewall.

(prophett) #10

turned firewall off, still does not work

Thanks anyway

“NET_SendPacket: WSAEConnrefused”

been digging around google for an answer for u and i keep seeing people mostly agree its a problem with your conection. If you havent, try restarting your modem (dsl/cable) and your pc to get a fresh new conection. Some guy did that and it worked for him.

It worked! Thanks a mill man, and thanks to everyone else who helped, it is appreciated
