DON’T BE A DICK
Too long to quote and I want to make my post short and simple. I most certainly agree (on most points) and sympathize with you here because this is Dirty Bomb. I quote “… This game is not going to hold your hand; it’s more likely to kick your teeth out.” So I’ll *#($#@ yell at you to do your damn job.
No one explained to me things about merc team synergy and timing tactics when I was sub level 5. I had to do the hard yard of learning things myself so I get scorned and yelled at. I’ll do the same to scrubs and yes, I will offend you if I tell you what you need to do because this is a team based objective game. You want to play differently, Tetris might suit you better.
Now for my take.
[]Ammunition Support Players - those of you who fancy Skyhammer and Arty, don’t just drop ammo… and for F O X sake, don’t throw the ammo where the player going to pick it up will get exposed to gunfire. Further, don’t give ammo to the opposition so those of you who continually drop ammo in the heat of the firefight, THINK again. Also (here’s a pro tip I learned from a master SkyHammer), learn to P A S S the ammo! For 10 extra XP for making a direct pass to your recipient, your support XP will go a long way (You get a whooping 60+10+10 XP for resupplying with skill by passing the ammo at spawn time). As for those who drop med packs at the spawn, ask yourself who will need them when the players’ health are at full? You’re just activating your action skill cool down if you do that. It’s fine if you pass ammo when the rest of your team mates are spawning with you, but it will be better when they get promptly resupplied because in the heat of the firefight, you get more XP and they get to concentrate on the objective or defending rather than running back to the ammo crate for a much needed ammo resupply.[]Objective Specialist Players - There must be at least one in the team and you need to support their role. YES, you’re the one that get’s the support and not the other way around. But that doesn’t mean that when there’s two objective specialist and one is engaged in repairing/disarming, you’ll butt in to do their work. “TEAM MATE DISARMING/REPAIRING” means you’ll need to do something else. It only takes one objective specialist to do the objective(s), so if you see it flash in your screen, provide cover or go somewhere else that will help the team.[]Medical Support Players - Please prioritize your role as medical support for the team. I know it’s a tough job to be everywhere when the map is big and the team is spread out in different places, but don’t go around tanking against Rhino or Fragger because you think your Crotzni, Blishlok, or Rhemburg is sufficient to face to face with them. Your team needs to be up and in top shape all the time, specifically the objective specialist. As for you AURA players, you literally can dictate where the defense will be established using your Health Station so be tactical when deploying them. Rhino depends on your health station to hold his position.[]Vassili players - The Heartbeat Sensor synergizes with Arty, Kira and Skyhammer’s artillery, orbital and air strike. USE THEM TACTICALLY!!!
Redeye Players - FFS, throw your smoke to the enemy, and not obscure the team’s vision. Also learn to use the thermal “redeye” vision in conjunction with the smoke.
.
