Well the look of ET:QW is obviously good indeed, and it looks like the gameplay will taste really different from current ET and I might like it less (im not too fond of external & vehicules combat … kinda think ‘outdoor’ FPS and ‘corridor’ FPS are two different things (eq > Wolf:ET is a ‘corridor’ FPS while Battlefield is an ‘outdoor’ one)) … but my main worry is about the Q3 feeling … the way you move, jump, rebound, bunnyjump, accelerations/decelerations & stuff. Also what about game system control ? will all the littles tweaking still be possible via console, or will that be limited to a simple “settings” menu ?
And what about the framerate ? I sure can afford a game, but not a whole new top-edge PC just to have decent framerate ! (here the game system tweaking would come in handy)
And last, but that apply to any recent game, what about third party mapping/modding ? With every new game its harder to keep up with the quality / quantity of stuff needed. I know splashdamage give quite a lot of support to modding, but looking at the screenshots, it looks like a mapper would not be enough to create a decent map.
To be short, altough ET:QW sounds like a good game, im affraid it will be a different game than Wolf:ET.
As Monthy Python’s guys sang : “Im so worried about …”
(They also sang “Every sperm is sacred …” wich is totally out of the point, but i like it alot @_@)
