www.fragland.net has posted an article about their visit to SplashDamage.
Nice read but I dont like one picture they made
My report will follow in a few days
I lol’d when I saw [SD] Locki as the newbie of the whatchamacallit in one of the screenshots. And how the guy who wrote the article point arrows to his name (Speed) all originating from the word OWNED. Not to mention there is also the best teamkiller.
Nice read but I dont like one picture they made
aww, c’mon…someone had to be least accurate
I can’t find the article you’re talking about, newest article was 13th Feb.
I think they have published the article too soon. A german fansite was also there and they said they have to wait till monday.
I had the pleasure to visit the Splash Damage Headquaters @ England.
A travelogue about this journey is now online in our forums in german language (but with several pics)
We had the pleasure to do a exclusive interview with Paul Wedgwood. This interview will be online in the next 1-2 days.
We are also doing a Hands-On Preview about ETQW. This preview will also be online in the next few days.
Travel report is online: http://www.fragland.net/specials.php?id=201
Also hands-on preview is online: http://www.fragland.net/previews.php?id=160

With the rocket launcher, something strange was going on. Whenever you fired, it took a couple of seconds before the rocket would actually launch. According to the colleagues that were also present, this wasn’t the case in the beta builds they had played up to now, but I can assure you that it was annoying and quickly made me change class. Imagine aiming at someone, firing, and then having to follow the target for a couple of seconds because your rocket still hasn’t flown off. Hopefully this will be fixed by the time the game goes retail.
wasn’t it like that from RtCW already ?
It’s Quake, not Wolfenstein, and in Quake the rocket launcher should shoot immediately

makes it require much more skill … nice… i like it^^
it’s called Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, not Quake Wars: Enemy Territory.
And they say it’s a spiritual successor to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, so it doesn’t have to be like the other Quake stuff
Guess that will be a future battle between Quake and Wolfenstein lovers then
The “wolfenstein” lovers lost already.
Still, this doesn’t mean the rocket launcher should fire instantly. If it doesn’t fit in the ET gameplay, it doesn’t have to be.
On our visit at Splash Damage we had the chance to ask some questions to Paul “Locki” Wedgwood!
Could be interesting for all of you!
