Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Edition and Preorders

Got my pre-order box today. Came with the two cards (Titan and Strogg Aircraft that’s name escapes me right now), as well as a very tall poster of the Strogg orbital strike obliterating a GDF convoy. Good stuff!

Where did you order?

Its stupid is it? I’m paying for someone to burn the DVD, someone to package it, someone to Market it, and someone to hand me the DVD. I don’t pay for overhead that is not required. I also do not buy games on DVD/CD, I rather buy a license that I can use online whenever I want, and if I lose the disc or my HDD, I can download it again with that license.

I buy games from Steam all the time, they are on the right track over there.

Pretty sure I just said “bye”, as in the generic and neutral “guess we won’t see you on the servers, then” You said you wouldn’t buy the game, I just acknowledged that you weren’t planning on buying the game. Not really sure why that was taken as a slight. I don’t see where I’ve haven’t been polite to you.

In fact, I was looking back over the thread and I think this is my first post in this thread, so I don’t think I’ve made any snide comments towards you previously that would lead you to conclude I was being snide now.

Did you know that I also say “hi” when I join a server and say “bye” when I leave a server. I’ve always thought that was just good manners.

Dude the release is still 2 months away, we have no clue wether they will support the digital delivery or not.
Check Direct2Drive every now and then, I think something about QW will show up sooner or later.

Also, it’s not like you will lose your license if your HDD screws up. Just reinsert the DVD and install the game on your new drive. The key will still be printed on the back of the box, did you know?

The press-release says:
Pre-orders start on March 26th at Gamestop and on April 12th at Best Buy.

So we need to wait until other shops can start to sell these? When?
Specially concerning us who live outside from USA.
Australia get some info next week. How about Europe?

Would have done it a moment ago but when I was regirestering I had an “error” concerning my age (yes, I’m under 18 ) -.- The only shop currently offering the game in Finland non-Swedish (at least there was nothing said about Swedish, except for contacting if problems occured).

Damn. Discshop.se seems to operate in Sweden (I still don’t want a Swedish version, not even of the manual) and Discshop.fi doesn’t offer Collector’s Edition. I’m very dissapointed (not at SD but at these shops). Not that I’d want to reserve my name since the one I use these days is so special no one would guess, but I really want the CE.

Ah, now I managed to find a “true” Finnish shop selling this Special Edition. I just hope the “SE” in the name actually meant Special Edition, not some random stuff :lol:
