Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Edition and Preorders

(iwound) #21

Official pre-ordering doesn’t start till Monday.
And it looks like different (pre-ordering) dates for different distributers.

Official pre-ordering doesn’t start till Monday.[/quote]

What does that mean? If you pre-ordered today (sunday) you wont get any registration code? I pre-ordered from webhallen in sweden.

(iwound) #23

Activision today announced that pre-orders for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will start on March 26th at Gamestop and on April 12th at Best Buy. By reserving a copy of the game in advance, fans can secure their preferred username, receive special edition collector’s cards

JBRAA did you get your reg code?

(Kendle) #24

Bit odd that you can pre-order right now from various places, but pre-ordering hasn’t started yet!

Guess I’ll be cancelling my pre-order and re-pre-ordering whenever it is I’m supposed to in order to get this code. After all, every man and his dog is gonna want Kendle!!

Hi!
Interesting news.
I think I’ll order at least 2 copies. (I got kids.) So I can put a preorder in today and wait for any later situations and order yet another copy then. I got a good feel that this game will rock.
//Loffy

EDIT: Just placed a preorder for the collector’s edition 578 SEK including VAT and postage&package.
(= 83 US Dollar or 62 Euro.)
I did it at a Swedish internet store called Webbhallen.

Great news

any way to preorder in Estonia :?

(BrightSoul) #28

murka, you may as well give play.com a try, they have very good prices, just ask them if they’re willing to ship to Estonia.
I don’t care if there are retailers here in Italy for I will still choose play.com.

One thing is not clear: if I preorder now, like it’s written on enemyterritory.com, will the distributor send me a registration code right away?
Play.com doesn’t even mention the collector’s edition :?

Also, will ET:QW be localized (texts and/or voices)? Not that it is important, just asking…

can’t remember if this has been answered yet:
whats the special thing of the collectors edition ?
don’t get me wrong, I know what a collectors edition is, but I have been disappointed a few times now with collectors editions…
for example Q4 collectors edition: cheap thick dvd box with quake2 and some (only a handfull) of concept art pictures.

duno but my definition of a collectors edition is either a shiny blinky tin box, or a big paper box, which looks amazing… for example the Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition.
And it should contain some nice extras, like a big book with concept art pictures, unused models, behind the scenes pictures of the team, … at least that stuff on an extra cd/dvd would be nice (book => way better).

In Quake4 there where more pictures online available then in the collectors edition… I want this the other way round… buyers of the collectors edition should get something others wont get.

other nice stuff is a cool bonus: t-shirt, baseball-cap, coaster sets, coffe cup, whatever just something cool…

can any1 from SD tell me something about it ?
I wont buy any collectors edition if it doesnt come with some cool stuff and has a cool looking box.
its just not worth it to pay double price for a 10year old bonus game and a handfull of pictures.

Quake 2 is always worth extra money.

from the link:
“Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Limited Collector’s Edition features premium packaging with a slipcase, as well as ten collector’s cards, available only through the Limited Collector’s Edition offer. In addition to the premium packaging and collectible cards, fans will receive a bonus DVD, complete with concept art and other cool stuff for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars’ biggest fans.”

i’m most interested in the dvd…

i guess i should have put in a link to the official site on my first post… i’ll do that now.

(Dr_Tenma) #34

Whoa, so there really is a Collector’s Edition… I gotta say I’m pretty surprised, since I normally don’t expect them for multiplayer-centered games - which don’t tend to have cinematics, soundtracks, etc.

To be honest, the cards and concept art DVD doesn’t sound entirely appealing to me… but I’m 99% sure that I’ll end up pre-ordering this just out of raw enthusiasm for the game and to support SD. Hopefully the packaging is decently cool, and I’m guessing it’ll only be $10-15 USD more than the normal edition.

(Diecast5) #35

Ok im lost here I just found out that PlayStation 3 , Xbox 360 say TBA, 2007
than PC game ET-QW come out in 6-6-2007 ? any help here , why do I feel that PS3 and Xbox 360 game for ET-QW come out befor the PC game . Dont you think PC game should be first, I do ?

(kamikazee) #36

All dates are made up.

And what if the PC version would take longer? The console versions are not made by SD thus aren’t “the real stuff”.

(Diecast5) #37

Ya but thay will be playing online befor us PC players. here the link I saw.

(Wils) #39

(Diecast5) #40

Im just saying it could be first , sorry my bad.
