ALL the severs are full of bots! 50 bots? come on! they need to kick these **** severs off the main page! no one wants to play against bots! the entire front page is noting butt freaking bots! they have no pings or there name is BOT, has this game died? no more players? this is bull****. some of the top 55+ player severs lead you to a different IP address or some kind of stupid browser pop up. all 55 players are bots! this needs to be fixed!

There is plenty of great servers. But these days, it is quite harder to find them (in comparison with situation few years before).

Start listing them, So far… all the severs are bots.

might i add, in my opionion the GOOD servers are concentrated in ways that new players wont join either due to downloading a mod, a map, sounds etc. (also new games that influence the old ways of ET) they should make a server that has all the default things that came with installation from doanloaded version of ET, that should attract some people but not garanteed. secondly of all not everyone has a good internet connection, take me for example. It lags quite a bit in a way that its annoying and life costly and last of all, new people dont join these servers because they’ll think the people camp, noob, own you and/or hack(especially in jaymod servers with no PB)

  But then again new unexperienced people need to train on some bots mixed with real people

so is it really the end of ET? (IF you go to the server menu then open console, look around you’'ll see the amount of people playing ET right now)

Well, it is slowly dying. I already reduced the number of ET server to just a few. This way we get all players back on a busier server = more fun :). My nitmod server seems to get busier and busier… people enjoy the mix of jaymod and NQ. Its even bringing back old skool players who went on to BC2 and COD BO.

And I just read my fav. website, next to this one, is going to stop…NOoooooo… keep wolfmap.de online :mad:

Thats because all the few players are flooded into the huge 50+ player servers…Theres still a handful of servers that are still active, unfortunately its mainly NQ which is more of a fun server rather than more competitive…

Whats the sever name?? do you use bots? I hope not.

I would recommend GameScanner. With this tool, you can easily browse all public server with.
Important thing is - you can use very large scale of filters, that means you can filter out server with hight ping, empty servers, server with bots, etc.

Top 100 all got 15+ players (at the moment of writing) with only some of them containing bots too (list is sorted on SLOT TOTAL-bots online)

Many people started playing again, at the end it just stays some fantastic game.

Just my little 2 cents…

have some etpro servers running on 2.60b patch with players all days if you enjoy play this game try use the filter of your Et game to find the servers man.

well if you think about it ET is like a business, where the player a.k.a customer wants to spend money a.k.a time! and the server is like a restaurant. some will have lots of choices and some not so much to choose from. ET is slowly dying down because of new games and people having problem with their OS not compatible with ET and one HUGE thing that affects the future of ET…OBJECTIVE NOOBING. i hate that. I connect fairly slow about 1-4 minutes (random strangely) and even if i get my computer super fast i still would hate objective noobing >:(

does anybody see my point?

nah, ET is not dead yet, as long as we keep the maps and mods coming there will be life… but what people need to understand is that if they are tired of playing the original ET they will have to download… usually a BIG download takes about 8-10 mins of waiting before playing something new…

btw working on a ET theme for wordpress if there is any interrest for it let me know :smiley:

dont had the times yet to install and test the new ET MOD chaos
did somes of you have this mod installed on your servers ?

the ET problems now we dont have anymore new maps to play like we had in the past…
watch for Marko, Drakir and so many others they moved for other games

objective noobing ??? u mean servers having custom maps and running nq, etpub ,jaymod ?
about OS clans have their own sites and help their members and regulars to have ET running fine with all the OS

New big maps are coming out but slower these days. I assume we get 3 to 5 big maps each year and 15 or so smaller ones. Developement takes a lot of time. Many maps have been worked on for years and so have we at S&M and still are.

dont think its dead even though we see some slack in new players compared to a few years. But still 6 years later we attract players and keep a busy server with no bots.

I think there are plenty of maps for ET, you don’t need new maps every month to enjoy the game. :slight_smile:
