enemy territory has stopped responding ugh

so i recently formated and reinstalled windows 7 on my laptop and of course i installed et soon after because i wanted to do some trick jumping. before i formated and what not it worked fine, i went and launched et and played for about an hour and then i get the messege et has stopped responding, so i launched it again and happened 2 mins or less about 5 times so i got pissed and wrote this thread, if you need specs let me know but please help me out, it specifically started after i formated and reinstalled win 7

What system are you using ? (Specs)
Which version of Win 7 are you using ?
What security software are you using ?

I had a similar problem with my laptop and RTCW, it had an ATI card. Renaming ‘wolfmp.exe’ to ‘quake3.exe’ worked.
For ET you can rename et.exe to quake3.exe.
