ET is finalist in Gamespots MP GOTY award

Developer id Software canceled its retail product based on 2001’s Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which earned our Best Multiplayer Action Game award that year, and instead released Enemy Territory for free, no strings attached. And this team-based shooter is still as fun as ever.

Although they didn’t win, it surley is a great honor indeed.

I guess ET is living up to the legend :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

ET is probably the best game up there. I mean, what the fuck Call of Duty? The single player may be incredibly good but that doesn’t mean the multiplayer isn’t absolute mediocre team death match (or some other equally unimaginitive type of game).

And Warcraft 3 as the winner!?!?!?!?!? Jesus they must be insane!

I first downloaded ET the day it came out (I didn’t play the test much because of the bugs :/).

When I first played it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The first words out of my mouth were “They are giving this out free!?” I played for about 4 hours that day, until I had to go do my homework

Ever since then I have been in love with ET.

We’re talking about Gamespot here guys. Do you actually hold their opinions as valid?

Well, all the games that were mentioned by the thread poster are all good. Call of Duty has a truly exceptional single player, and The Frozen Throne is just fantastic online. ET still great though

Yes, I do.
