I was looking in my “etconfig.cfg” and I saw seta name “^0L.^4w^4Ev^0IL^4Wu^0LF”
and i was thinking if a can edit it and add thing like Ë it will not let me copy and paste so just asking :bump:

You can only use A-Z and 0-9. Anything else and you will be kicked by Pb. Names also have to be 3 or more characters afaik.

Extended ASCII kicking is a pb server option. Most servers have it on, and those accented chars are extended ASCII. There are plenty of chars other than A-Z and 0-9 which are not extended ASCII.

Minimum name length is also a pb option.
I would suggest you don’t edit etconfig.cfg, since ET is likely to overwrite it. Better to make your own autoexec.cfg which sets the stuff you want.

High ASCII chars (and %) don’t work at all in Q3 through ET because, for whatever reason, id decided to mangle those characters into '.'s whenever they’re sent in commands.
The % bugs me (especially when talking about weapon accuracies), and the high ASCII mangling bothers me whenever someone tries to use an accent in a European language.
That’s in addition to the PB kick, which also kicks for ASCII 1-31, which are displayed as special characters. (I personally think that the PB kick for those is a bandage for retarded server admins, and that the default of actually kicking for them is ridiculous, but c’est la vié.)
