Easy headshots??!!

According to a website I found, headshots are supposed to be “way easier” when using 640x480 resolution. Can this be true??!!
I just can’t understand how this can be correct. Anyone here who KNOWS?

Under the cvar ‘r_mode’ it reads:

‘This is set to “3” (640x480) to increase performance. Added BIG bonus is that headshots are way easier on this resolution!’

if you have a 19’’ monitor and you run ET with a resolution of 640x480 ofcourse it would be easier to get some more hs… the characters heads become bigger :stuck_out_tongue:

Err… no, the scale is the same but it would of course look more jaggy in 640.

I am not sure if this is ironi or if you are serious.
Anyway, the point is of course that the head won’t get any bigger on a lower resolution. Although it may of course LOOK bigger…

If you cut a small hole in a paper and stick it in front of your monitor so that the hole aligns with the crosshar the enemy’s head will fill the entire visible screen when you aim at it.

Also, don’t forget you run faster if you use a higher FOV!

Those things are all true, but not nearly as effective as tweaking b_placebo. You just have to find the right value…
