Would it be possible and/or have you considered removing the ability for people to file complaints when they foolishly step on friendly mines? After all, they are clearly marked both ingame and on the command map!! With having to deal with the “noob” factor all over again, this is very frustrating, and pointing out that it is a BAD complaint doesn’t get through. If not perhaps the removal of XP loss for mines. This is Bad for the enggie, which is also bad for the TEAM. XP loss is bad, but getting kicked for bad complaints is worse, you loose all your XP then!! Thanks for your time in viewing this, and pleeeease take it into consideration for a future patch as I know you guys are busy patching already.

well sometimes eng’s put mines where its hard for teammates to get by if they need to. ive never complained on a mine, but i have come close sometimes because it was placed in a spot that was unneccesary. but i know what you are talking about when folks just charge through them without even attempting to jump over them and complain. shit happens, its part of life. but the thing i hate is when im actually attempting to not hit the mine and i do accidently and get insulted.

I agree, complaint for mine “tks” should be disabled.
Of the two
- An engineer can obstruct his own team with mines with impunity from being kicked through complaints because of it.
- Any player can solely by himself kick a mine laying engineer in his team if he wants to - just run into the victim’s mines a couple of times and press F1.
The First is the lesser evil. It would be rather easy to get someone votekicked who attempts to grief his team with mines, as it is him who appears as the tk on the tk messages and his actions could be easily seen by his team as what they are.
An evil player exploiting the mine complaints to kick an innocent engineer is not so easy to get votekicked, after all its the engineer who apparently does the tks to anybody who didn’t witness himself what happened, at least not until the innocent engineer is kicked, thus having lost him all his skills already.

Imho unless an engineer is pretty stupid or intentionally obstructs his team, there is no reason an engineer should ever need to be filed complained against for mines anyway.
Teammates can see them on the “radar” and can crouch jump over them where they are in their way.

well the times i came close was because of their attitude after the fact. and that is probably the #1 reason people complain. accidents do happen but it seems like everytime i accidently back into a mine the eng is saying “NOOB DONT U KNOW WHAT THE F*CKING FLAGS MEAN”. at that point their just asking for it.
but i dont see how its any different than fieldops and airstrikes, if a teammate wanted to get them kicked all they would have to do is head for the smoke. so should we disable complaints on them too?
if its that big of a deal to you then i guess you should not be playing on FF servers. just my opinion.
