your textures must be all within the textures map .
are is there something wrong with my et lol.
first try to let some off your friends try it to see if all is seth straight.
i use my teammates to run true it so thy can report any missing things in there.

Do you see the lava?
Are there servers already rotating Doom? 
Looks like fun to me⦠But from the only screenshot available it seems that the lava is not emitting any light.
Now if thatās fine with you, itās fine with me, but if you just didnāt paid attention to all these small details, maybe you can just somehow make the lave cause everything near look a bit brighter and more red.
The lava doesnāt give any smoke, itās the texture from Drakirās map āSteelplantā.
But do you see the lava when youāre playing the map?
Because some textures are missingā¦

There are some serious trouble with the textures in āDoomā. You can only see few texturesā¦all the others are black/orangeā¦
Pfff,
I made my terrain with easygen, but the terrain is also black/orangeā¦
How can I make it visible for players?
If you make a pk3 file you have to make a /maps, /scripts, /levelshots and /textures directory. Do I have to place āallā the texture I use in my map in the /textures directory?
Please give me some answers! :banghead:
Do you have a seperate ET installation for mapping?
I guess you have used some textures of other maps.
And if you test it in your local environment all is good (because you have installed the custom maps with the textures).
Normally you have to put in all custom textures you have used.

By the way I have 4 ET installations.
One for mapping, one for modding, one for playing and a pure one (only stock ET with patch) for testing.
you probaly used textures that were loaded from all the other pk3ās of other custom maps you have in your ET folder. You would need to ask all those people if you can use their textures, credit them in your readme and/or shader file, and include all those textures in your own pk3 (you should see a serious difference in file size)
No I donāt have a seperate installation for mapping and yeeh, I have installed the custom maps, thatās why I see all textures.
You say I have to put in all custom textures in the /textures folderā¦I was thinking that I only have to put the ānewā textures from other maps in that folder. ET players have already got the custom textures ehā¦
And what about my terrain, itās made by Easygen, but itās also black/orange when others are playing the map

No, custom means not original.
Stock means original.
As far as I know (my english isnāt that good).
You have to add all the textures you have used from non-original maps.

You have to choose a unique name for your texture folder.
Itās because you should not mess with the original textures or textures used by other mappers.
So the folder could be
/textures/doom/
I guess your terrain textures are also custom textures which you havenāt included.
So try to make a new pk3 with all the needed textures and test it.

But other textures like walls, donāt workā¦
I used many textures from castle, so textures=> castle => wall, floor
Are those custom textures? And if theyāre, from what map do those textures come from?

Seems that some of the pictures are missing.
ātextures/castle_window/cashudder_c01ā for example is an original texture of RTCW.
So Iām not sure if they are used in ET.

I have all those textures and I can also see them in my map. But Iāve got āmoreā castle textures and those donāt appear ingameā¦
Here are some of those textures I donāt see :

-castle_c46_on_grid
-castle_c47
Etc.
I donāt see them and I donāt know where I can find them => :banghead: I canāt place them in my pk3 :banghead:
I think these are from RTCW.
You should only use the textures where the JPGās / TGAās are available (see my first list).
