"Don't deliver, need the combat xp" - humiliating enemies for xp

Time played vs player level cannot be calculated by any means such as that.
1000 exp/min might be drastically way too high for some players, and way too low for others.

Really player level can only help you distinguish brand new players to the game. Or people who are bad at the game.

For example…

If you are under level 5 it is likely you are fairly new to the game still… or maybe you just really suck, wander around not knowing what is going on and go 1/30 every match. Either way, we can assume a player under level 5 will usually not out perform someone of say level 15 or over simply due to lack of experience with the game and it’s mechanics.

Lets take a level 20 however, we no longer have any idea of this persons skill.
They may be really good, they might be average, or they may be really really bad.

Once you’ve hit your own personal skill cap, it doesn’t matter how much time you invest into the game, you won’t be constantly learning new tricks and improving at the rate that you do when you first start a game.

You may figure out something new here and there… but your aim isn’t going to keep improving infinitely just because you’ve put in the hours.

Your level however will keep rising indefinitely (since we know of no current level limit).
Even if you start playing worse, your level will keep rising over time, it ultimately becomes a redundant number next to your name as it does not fully signify time played, nor player skill.

You can get a high level in a shorter amount of time due to skill.
You can get to that same level in a larger amount of time due to lack of skill.

After a certain point levels are totally redundant, and during the early levels they are only sometimes reflect a player’s ability.

Wasn’t talking about skills as much as I did about experience…
I was saying that experience has no cap at all, it might be little slow to learn, but there is defenitely a difference…

LVL 20 that is skilled will have lots of skills, and quite good amount of experience…
LVL 20 that is unskilled will not have lots of skill, but he will be experienced… It is up to them if they want to use that experience into their advantage, but one thing is sure… Higher levels will almost always have more experience.

Let’s take average skill player (I could take whole player base, but I decided to take average for sake of example):

Lvl 1 (starting the game) average skill 40% (there are players that didn’t play any shooter before, or didn’t learn about DB mechanics); experience in DB - 0%

Lvl 11 (in game to enough time to learn the basics, and get even more skillful in game) average skill would say around 55% (there were players that didn’t play any shooter, but now they did, and they learned… However, if those that didn’t play any shooter learned… those that played shooter also learned, much… not only maps and stuff, but mechanics of DB as well, which improved his aim and consistency) experience in DB - 50% (thats when the most of basics are learned)

Lvl 21 (…) average skill I would say 60% (improvments in skills… (Pro Quake player as well wasn’t born with skills… He improved over time…)) experience in DB 70% or so…

Lvl 31 (-II-) skill - 63%, experience - 75%…

So on…

That is how I see it, not real statistics

Now there are situations where highly skilled low level players that aren’t in average group are matched with low skilled high level players that are below average group…

…This match is very likely to end in vicrory of low levels, but high levels can use their experience to complete objective and win.

Also match like that wouldn’t happen, as most likely there will be team of average players (some of them above average skill, others below… which makes it completely balanced (average))

This is my opinion and I hope you did understood it, cause I was very un-understanding when I was writing this haha.

We all know how effective the majority of level 1-7s are versus level 10s and 20s. (Even have a level 30…)

People on the internet said levels don’t matter, so this must be true! Also, I read it in the Daily Mail.
I think I’ve seen only one or two games where teams with low levels beating high level team (by high level team I mean at least 3-4 ppl that are higher than level 10, while other team has none of those)

There were lots of games like this, and every single one was stompage, yet ppl are saying levels doesn’t matter… Sure thing…
I roasted a lvl 109 some days ago. Well…Actually…My team and me roasted him.
Obviously this video is faked. Levels don’t matter and since the teams were even, this couldn’t have possibly happened in real life.

Or maybe levels and skill do have some kind of correlation? naw, that can’t be it…
You don’t seem to understand the difference between a level 7-30 etc. player who has a ton of experience already (at least 50 hours as a level 7) and is going to do moderately well regardless of who they play against and players who are brand new within their first few hours and haven’t seen all the map sides yet.

The argument has always been that player skill does not linearly increase with more time played after you’ve gotten a handle on the game. More time played can give a person more experience in more situations but it’s not like a level 25 player is going to get dominated by a level 47. This isn’t an MMO.

Understanding the actual argument and the viewpoints being presented is pretty important in any discussion before commenting. Especially if you want to make snarky remarks.
