he is not spy on tf2, everybody see you when you use invisibility. sorry for my 50k. now im gonna trade up some loadout cards for enjoying today but i dont think im gonna play with phantom tomorrow.
don't buy phantom
The stealth is better used on the side of a firefight so you can slip around the enemy front…
It is not that easy to spot if you are not looking for it…plus movement speed affects how visible it is…don’t sprint
Lmao this is the best buy I’ve ever done. Bought him and the Crotzni/Katana loadout for credits, soooo much fun. Think I’ll be playing nothing but Phantom for the next couple of weeks. He’s literally built to pub stomp.
This game isn’t TF2 and Phantom wasn’t advertised as the Spy from TF2.
Why would they give his invisibility a damage shield if they expected him never to get shot or damaged when using it?
Utterly disagree, I bought him and a card and love it so far. Might not be the BEST merc but certainly a fun one.
love him. not super powerful and doesn’t have crazy utility but i enjoy him, just fun
you don’t need Refractive Armor for cutting people from back. here is sniff’s knifer aura video, i was prefer stiletto + health station because of aura’s speed but now stiletto’s damages reduced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGitcSx55dQ
@Ardez nobody tell me phantom is spy, but phantom isn’t spy.
CR94 or C94? Got the former from trade up. Is the KEK strictly better than Crotzni?
I prefer Crotzni no question, but most of the top tier players say the KEK is OP.
With chopper the stiletto still does a considerable amount of damage with the right click. (102)
I’ve run into several Phantoms and killed all of them. It’s really not that hard to blow his face off while he’s trying to stab you.
You can’t play this game anymore, the tactital gameplay is not possible anymore.Pls nerf him or remove him completely or just his katana…
Agreed completely. He doesnt seem at all OP to me, in any way. He seems balanced, if a little UP. He can be spotted easily when he is charging at you and to be honest I think people massively overrate the cloak damage absorption, to me it feels fair, not ridiculous. TBH I think its just the classic “New merc is OP, nerf or remove”. People will become more used to him, and he will fall into the category of “Good if played well, terrible if not”. He is pretty fun to play though, so there might be a few noobs ruining your games for a while, sorry guys <3
Just my two cents.
if i was a bad player i never open this threat and having fun with my 1.0 k/d ratio. this is my last game before phantom today http://i.imgur.com/zuabeWn.jpg?1
I have every merc or card i want so 50k don’t effect me but im trying help to low level guys here. My last room start with 5 phantom and end with 1 phantom. if you are level 5 and all you have is 50k credits, dont buy phantom for his ability because i think don’t worth.

Not sure what you’re saying but the spy does have a damage shield when he’s invisible (used to be the dead ringer only but now the regular watch also have some damage reduction)
Honestly, I hope walking at least makes you completely invisible. I can understand sprinting not doing that, but at least let walking be that way so I can sneak behind people and sneak out easily too.
I hope I can use my old habits from Spy to my advantage.
This is literally the best and most honest comment on this thread. #CookieForSniff
