This is from the news, the good part is that they atleast hear us, and they did it fine with the trinkets, but even with this, they gave a shit about the dickens cards

Trinket Hunt is a pretty big step for SD. That being said, it does not mitigate the fact that 0.3% is still 0.3%.

I think faraleth made a survey in which you could vote how many CW guaranted cases or cards, you get in the event, and 60% was none. And the guaranted cases were in the last event, but with the smallest chance that they could possible drop

i got 2 in 3 days, i know ppl who got 4 and 5.

SD is giving cosmetic stuff even if the drop chance is low, and that’s a big deal in a game that is not p2w.

The problem is that there are some people that played like 20 h in the CW event, and got none. And there are some people who got 3 in 2 h

I had nothing from CW and nothing from this one. So they didn’t heard our complains.

Its fucking cosmetic it doesnt give an advantage on other players they need to eat too. i only got my first today im opening 50 normal case a day and got it in a dropped guaranteed case i had 5 Cw thats the RNG thats just like it they give out trinket. They heard people you just keep asking more and more. RNG isnt new in videogame get over it. These special cards are meant to be rare they wont give it at bronze drop chance. You want one without playing and risking buy ten elites cases then

These things, trinkets and skins are not essential for the game play and the unique way for SD to make money to pay the Dev, take care of the servers, make some benefits for the next game. I am already quite impressed you can have it for free, not many games do that. So stop complaining greedy kid and enjoy the fact to be able to have everything for free. Now the only acceptable complain can come from paying users that still have to face the RNSatan.

My guess is because they make a lot of money off of cases and it would sandbag their profit margins if one of the big draws/reasons for buying cases during the event was suddenly gone.

With the trinkets they can perform an experiment and see what kind of revenue they can can get by producing less/no RNG things to sell to the masses without potentially harming their current revenue stream.

I hope that everyone buys the store trinkets and proves that there is more money in cosmetics like that than there are in lower than Vegas odds gambling with whale-only pricing that is currently in play with the cases. It might just tip the scales towards SD producing more content that can be bought outright (and hopefully with reasonable prices) and perhaps even get the loadouts separated from the skins.

No i won’t get over it anytime soon. I’m seriously fed-up with this rng sh*t. Either give an event case to every player at the end (or beginning) of the event or don’t do anything at all.

40% of people liked it. Don’t make things up because you’re biased.
You still gonna get or already got a trinket or 2. And the odds of not dropping one in a whole week are very slim. Complaing about it if you didn’t drop one after the even has ended or buy a 10+1 Pack.

Aaand it hurts me to see only SD getting the verbal bash of this when there is no evidence (least I haven’t seen, bring it in the table here in case there is) of SplashDamage doing these monetization decisions alone or even having major part in them. Call me paranoid or prejudiced, but I have my history with Nexon’s stuff (Maplestory, Combat Arms) and to be honest they’re the ones that smell to my nose all around these marketing decisions.
