Do you think these two objective types are going to work?

We have destroy, construct, hack, and transport for both sides.

GDF has escort MCP

Strogg has Flyer Drone Attack.

For secondary objectives only, do you think the following 2 objective types are going to work?

GDF Flyer Drone Counterpart is Third eye Camera. Just stick that thing onto a secondary objective, and blow it up. HE charges can also work on it, but it takes much longer. Much like the Depot defenses and Satchel charges in Fueldump in ET.

GDF has a vehicle based objective. Strogg doesn’t. Has anyone tried making an objective where you take the Strogg Hog truck, and the objective is destroyed when you use the ram shield on it? Of course Plasma charges also work on it, but it takes much longer. These objectives also cannot be destroyed by flyer drones, no matter how many you send at it.

So what are your suggestions on objective types that utilize the third eye camera, and any of the strogg vehicles?

Third eye wouldn’t work imo, as all it takes is a lemming run to get one planted and a stray nade to detonate it and it still has the chance of counting as a 3rd eye kill

Just wondering why you are asking this?

I’ve wondered if it would be possible to base a Strogg escort mission off of the MCP. Something like a slipgate transporter. The slipgate has to be moved to a certain geographical location to connect to another gate, opening up the second half of the map.

Could do a twist on the flyer drone objective. Have some sort of spinning apparatus (like a centrifuge) with a small vent on one side to attach the 3rd eye and the objective on the other. You’d have to use the camera function to know when to detonate, leaving the covie vulnerable.

That’s why I said these should be secondary objectives. Something that evens the playing field when these barriers are dealt with, barriers that are easy to destroy, such as blowing it up with third eye cam, or running into it with the hog ram shield.

There are plenty of objectives in the original ET that utilize the satchel charge, like destroying command posts, or taking down barriers. Most of the main objectives require dynamite anyway.

Also these easy to destroy objectives can be constructed again, so maybe there is a reason now to have the defending team to be able to interact with the environment, other than to defend and capture command posts.
