Do you stop playing dirty bomb after you've completed your missions?

I’m just kind of curious about people’s playing habits.

I rarely play if my missions are done. I tend to wait until reset then play to get my missions done as quickly as possible then stop. Nowadays I’ll often just delete Waterboy because it’s not worth my time when I’m level 36 with all the classes but Rhino and a ton of load outs.

2 weeks ago and I would have been doing Waterboy too though. It helped that you could farm a ton of support xp by chain reviving someone going down repeatedly, now you can’t really do that.

I play a fair bit so I feel like stopping whenever I don’t have missions helps control that.

I play if my missions are done only when clan members want to keep playing. Other than that I usually skip waterboy missions because it takes forever and I don’t want to be forced to play something i dont want to or something that sometimes my team doesn’t even need. The class missions are nice because I adjust my mercs to support/engy/damage and I keep finding out new mercs I love playing. Like right now after a weekend of nothing but Phantom I’m loving Kira.

I play missions when i have missions sometimes and i don’t play when i have missions sometimes.

And i sometimes skip Waterboy for a reason of time taken to do a thing.

And my suggestion from that comment is:Give more unique missions.

(FailJertsu) #5

I play without missions when I’m playing with my friends

(Potato_Ladder) #6

Unless someone ask me to play with them I won’t be playing except when I have mission.
Mostly skip Win missions these days, they’re so hard to complete :frowning:

(Temporary) #7

If I’m not tired/bored and I’ve done my missions I’ll continue to play.

(bumbertyr) #8

._. missions are just a bonus, the game doesn’t revolve around them for me XD

(RuleofBooKz) #9

“i dont need any more credits” could also read: i dont play DB because credits are a goal in after

aka - i only play for fun and anything else is just a bonus

(Aazhyd) #10

I usually skip the “Win 2 Stopwatch matches” (Stopwatch most of the time is not fun) and sometimes the higher Combat XP mission. Because I am a true support player, I don’t make huge amounts of kills, but can get Support XP easily. So I never skip Waterboy missions.

L15 currently.

(Eddie) #11

I only play when I have missions, but I skip certain missions (please explain).

Because aimpunch is obnoxious, i still like the game but it’s just annoying now i can’t enjoy it longer than 5 matches.

(bontsa) #12

I always skip “win x amount of y mode” missions just to give devs echo data from least my part that this is absolutely wrong way of going with the missions… Hence it encourages doing nothing about unbalanced teams, and is generally bad approach, I think missions should emphasize in simply directing one to do their best, not succeed 100% of the time.

Waterboy seems pretty nice mission for me, I find it one of the easiest to pull out really. I do keep 2 support chars usually in my squad too though.

When I play, I play the missions, when done I play till I have new missions to finish

(frzn) #13

I usually only play when I have missions and skip xp missions unless I’ve made a lot of progress on them by the time my other missions are complete. Playing a few shorter sessions in a day has greatly increased my credit income over playing for one longer session, lessens the frustration of getting a bunch of bad matches in a row, and makes me take regular breaks.

(Jostabeere) #14

I play when I have the urge to. Most of the time when I’m alone and my friends work, since I have summer vacations from my making my A levels, I try missions, and make a break then. If new ones come, I make them.
Besides that, I play without missions or when I want to.

(subtleDoll) #15

I stop playing when I got 5.000 credits, if I’ve finished all the missions before, I take a pause waiting the missions refill.

#16

I always play when I have time, regardless having missions or not.
The game is just… so fun. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just like everyone else, I skip the hard ones when they are about to refresh.

(ghostBase) #17

I mostly play the game because playing the game is fun.

(VincentRJaeger) #18

It’s a mix that really depends on my mood.

Sometimes I play for the sake of finishing missions and earning that sweet cash.
Other times I just play for the sake of playing the game, learning it and in the long run become good at it.
Both times are equally fun for me though, because I like the game : P

(wittyChicken) #19

I usually only play when I have missions, because the match credit trickle by itself is not that good.

I don’t often skip missions, except waterboy when I’m not feeling like it. It limits the playstyle and mercs you can pick too much.

When playing as proxy:
Combat EXP: Yeah, you are going to get that
Game mode EXP: You are definitely going to get that
Support EXP: Well, you get 2XP from stick together and maybe occasionally help someone up, but yeah. It’s not happening.

Always need a carrot. Sure playing with friends I’ll do that for fun. But playing solo with scrubs that don’t communicate is just frustrating. Hopefully we’ll be able to host servers so I can play with my friends/community. At the moment most are waiting for release before committing much time to Dirty Bomb.
