Do you still play Wolf:ET (VOTE!)

(Higgins) #1

I want to tally up how many people still play Wolf:ET, so that I may find the motivation to create a map once again. Please vote yes or no depending on if you do or do not play Wolf:ET anymore.

(Pegazus) #2

I will keep playing ET for a long time

(mortis) #3

From time to time on the Internet, more frequently at LAN parties where I can run etpro and custom scripts.

I’ll be here until ET dies, or RTCW 2 comes in. :stroggbanana: Then I’ll move to idtech 4 engine.

(Higgins) #5

I’ve just looked up the ID tech engine and it seems they already have ID Tech 5 out, or at least almost complete? Is it 4 or 5 that RTCW2 will be using?

(-SSF-Sage) #6

I heard it’s the idtech 4. I’m not sure tho. There was some talking and idtech 4 got mentioned over there.

According to interviews, the game devving is started years ago, and I don’t think nobody even heard of idtech5 yet.

Afaik RtCW2 uses the same base (i.e. id Tech 4) as ET:QW, though heavily modified. RtCW was one of the last games with id Tech 3 and it seems that RtCW2 will be one of the last games with id Tech 4.

PS: Still playing W:ET from time to time. Its so “consumption-friendly” that its runs on older systems (like mine ;)) and the gameplay is still unbeaten.

[nitpicking] RtCW was about the second game on id Tech 3, not the last. [/nitpicking]

I rarely play W:ET anymore, its hard to go back after switching to ET:QW. ET:QW has definate replaced W:ET as my favorite game.
