Do you like Stoker?
He fits very nicely as an indoor fire support merc, I keep hearing friends say he’s bad 'cause he can’t kill fast enough with his molotovs and I just think that that’s not his actual job - he’s area denial and, I imagine as I can never find a Bridge/Chapel map today, EV-desctruction.
Cooldown feels pretty lengthy and I don’t know if I dig it where it sits, but for now I’m liking him.
I think people need to learn how to get those direct molotovs, once that happens I can see him being a brutally effective merc.
No, he just makes Kira and Arty even more obsolete due to having an ability as strong as theirs but not being bound to the sky.
My only grief about him is that they balanced the Molotov too much to the negative side. It has a 40s cool down, where a Fragger grenade only has 17s and the Molotov actually takes more than a second to be thrown. In frontal combat it is suicidal.
It should either have the current cooldown but no drawbacks on the throwing, or it should keep the throwing drawback and have a reduced cool down. 30s for a starters to see if it is better.
I like Stoker. If not for his aesthetics, it’s that now I can play an ammo-giver in Underground without feeling like one of my abilities is useless.
Won’t get to play him for a few more days, but he’s already a pain to fight against so I figure he must be pretty good.
Pretty nasty, I quite enjoy playing with him (once I bought the M4 card to get away from the Timik), but I think the fire should have a ramp up. Give people a chance to get out before it really hits everyone. Crowded hallways is a stoker’s wet dream.
He changes the meta. Rhino Aura campers are nothing to be feared now.
Well, I just bought him, and I have to say that he’s exceptional at his role. Area denial is his greatest strength, and direct hits with the molotovs are devastating. The Timik is surprisingly good, as I haven’t played with it much, and the flames flush out campers even better than Nader’s launcher can.
Stoker free rotation might be pretty bad, though. Fire everywhere the eye can see.

I like him. And I definitely agree with an earlier post that the Molotov cooldown is too much. Especially considering the killing power other mercs abilities have.
Also especially considering how Nader’s 5 nades allows for sustained area denial. Stoker’s area denial will last what? 10 seconds? Nader can hold down an area longer by blasting a nade every couple seconds. And her total cooldown for all her Nades isn’t much worse either.
Come on! He’s an above average merc - 120 health, assault rifles. Then you get an undeniably powerful and and easy to use ability with a tolerable cooldown. If it wasn’t for Arty, he would be the most spammable fire support merc. Stoker can hold an area for longer and without exposing himself. And it works indoors. A fragger might achieve similar effect IF you cook the grenade well and IF you manage to hit a few people - but Stoker doesn’t care. Throw a lame uncooked grenade and it’s blocked for 10 seconds. And it’s probably easier to gib with Molotov than with the new frag grenade.
Molotov DPS is slightly OP IMO. He should get a rearm time buff and a damage nerf. Also letting his molotovs bounce once would be very nice, been watching way too many pubs snuff on random objects.
Would like to see the Molotov cooldown maybe 10 sec lower, so at 30sec. Compared to other fire support abilities it really doesn’t feel that strong to deserve the current cooldown.
And there are plenty of abilities to disable the fire already.
