Do you keep character skills when not playing same class?

i.e. does lvl4 signals (Disguised enemy recognition) work if you swap class?
also lvl4 Covert Ops (Instant backstab kill)
also lvl4 Medic (Adrenaline boost - half damage / no tiredness 4 a bit)
also lvl4 Engineer ( Flak Jacket )
if not why not ?

perhaps the level 4 soldier skill should be equally transferable

Yes you do keep you skills… those that happen without selection

Eg. Disguised enemy recognition lvl 4 field ops, flak jacket engineer and the the level 3 covert ops - lesser automatic weapon spread with the soldier’s MG42 is particularly useful…

You can’t use the medics adrenaline as you don’t have a needle…

You keep, but you aren’t using class skills if you aren’t using that cless, which makes sense.

does lvl4 signals (Disguised enemy recognition) work if you swap class?

I think if you keep this skill (lv4 signals) even if you’re not a FO.

surely logic would suggest that any class specific skill you have earnt wouldn’t apply to a different class as wudan said. It would be nice to have clarification on this though

whilst we’re at it. If you’re a CO and spot enemy mines, is it a bug or is it intentional that if you swap to another class the mines disappear off the command map again? in a way, as i said above the answer should be no, but it’d be ideal for clan wars if this wasn’t the case.

don’t know if that’s really logical mr spock, you’ve put in the time and effort to become a level4 signals, but you instantly forget everything you’ve learned when you put you binoculars and radio down and pick up a pair of pliers?

there’s a lot of illogical stuff in the game.
But the classes seem logical from a gaming point of view to me. The skills you learn for a class, apply to that class. So if you change class those skills do not apply. using your analogy, if i put down my binocs + radio and pick up pliars, i obviously can only use pliars, not binocs + radio.
