oups, why not , it’s up to You. ( if You will like the project, there’s no problem, I’ve got more experience with external tool than with etqw sdk ! So , You’re welcome .) I can make terrain and some custom static mesh ; ( for ex. a new Nexus tower ) .
not sure if that look like a scottish highlands (made this 1 week ago ); but why not …; it’s just colored ( no textures, 4 layers ).
I try to get my terrain closer to the quality of the etqw wiki terrain.

On the other hand, it’s usually a push over for Strogg if there aren’t enough vehicle whores on GDF and respawn times on the last objective play a large part in that. Strogg respawn too quick and the map is basically over if they manage to get and keep their forward with 3-5 minutes left on the clock.
The ability to experiment and change things without bothering the unsuspecting player too much would have been such a great asset to have and might have changed the way things went.
To continue my example about Ark, I guess I would have started by blocking access to the vehicles in main base for GDF on that map, increase the respawn time for Strogg on the last objective and see how that would pan out. It’s just an example, I’m not even sure it’s possible and there are probably other/better solutions, I just used it show what’s missing/wrong from my point of view.
Such a shame, there’s this enormous potential to do stuff, but it hardly sees any use .
First one to blame Activision gets a cookie. Personally I think that’s too simplistic, someone agreed to all this at some point…

i played wolfenstein enemy territory for years. in the late times most servers have modified maps. mostly because players didnt know how to play them. or just because they had the magic rule: no sk. example: try to take the gold out of the bank in gold rush without spawnkilling … (i am not talking about airstrikes, grenades and thompson can have the same efect when you know where to camp).
when i moved to etqw, it was a relief to see that all the maps were equal in all servers. from my point of view, this is a good thing because people dont have to keep track of map changes in order to change their strategy.
ark is another good example. if you try to play for kills in strog side, it can be real dificult. on the other hand, if you focus on playing for xp you will find it very easy. grab an obliterator and climb to some building roof. focus on destroying the things that will give you more xp, instead of killing enemies. this means you may have to wait some seconds to let medics go near the crate (hehehe), or engineers to try to repair the damaged turret.
your main problem will be gdf snipers, but you also have vehicles to deal with them.
second objective, focus on xp again. vehicle whore/ constructor lemming and thats it.
third obj, xp wont help you here. now you need to play for kills.
It was found out, that GDF wears victoria’s secret trousers, Makron feels very offended to fighting such retarded race.
The only way to revive ETQW is intermix official and custom maps. Arctic Assault and Maridia is enough for me.
just dont think leaving this game without support will make people buy other recent games. people may start playing that korean version (QWO) instead of moving to other game.
That would require an NA or EU host because we all know whats it like to be on a server on the other side of the world. And if I am correct QWO requires a local subscription to join pub severs… There are some really cool features and ‘vanilla’ map changes in the QWO version.
First you need to download some god awful 3rd party client to log into and to launch the game from, it’s all in Korean.
The changes to the maps aren’t that good and are poorly integrated, only really played Sewer on it. The guns felt weaker and obviously the lag was horrible.
QWO is crap indeed. Altho there were some interesting tweaks in some maps. Refinery was quite interesting, with some additional tweaks to the last objective. Sewer on the other hand was complete crap. Salvage was a complete nightmare, the changes to the lay-out felt stretched and out of order.
The weapon designs looked better, the shotgun has no iron sights and you had an option to punch someone with the back of your gun.
The additional gameplay mode, where you must wait for the last objective to reach a certain time was complete bollocks.
- Realise new patch to fix net code problems and bugs.
- Put customs maps to Ranked server (some servers with new campaing like “South America” or whatever, and other just competition)
- Return PB support
- Come back statistic
- Give some free keys to ppl
- Return QW to Clan base.
Ideal world
Game need new people who want play this game.Maybe Free2Play for this game its better idea.Free keys its good idea but maybe this keys go for players who play QW.
Game need many fix but we never see it
Perhaps we should approach this differently and run every server with the PB version that comes with the game. That way we won’t have to figure out how to tell new players in Swahili how to get the required PB update.

late days i tried to convince 2 friends, to start playing this game.
so far, mega fail. too many information in short time.
the game has its own problems (minimizer, pb, updates, etc…). after, the tweaks (pitch, mouse acceleration, binds, predicition, etc…). hardware is also very important (some people will try to play on laptops :s, no good mouse or pad, etc…). some vehicles are hard to handle and require lots of practice (or tweaks).
i think you should create servers for beginners and for experts. otherwise people will leave game. just think how it would be if you started to play soccer, and next thing, you get to play against ronaldo or messi. probably you would never play again.
