Disable Complaints On Low Health

(Cosmos) #1

I think the best thing is to disable complaints when a person is on low health, as you know when a covert op has been fighting for his life for a uniform his health is very low and the same team member might have one or two shots at him and hes dead… you get called in the console and get a complaint filed against you most of the time. So I think that if health is under 20 or 30 complaints should be disabled altogether.

(InIgo) #2

yea. like im a medic and when i see a soldier in 20- health i kill him and than revive him. and than he complain on me…sad

(senator) #3

So on a vote disabled servers all TKer have to do is kill teammates with low health to be unkickable ?? No good idea :frowning:

(Cosmos) #4

TKers will kill anyone they see whatever there health is.

I on’t think they should remove complaints for people with low health. If they do its likely to be abused by greifers and you should really check what your shooting at before you let off fire.

What they should stop is people who die from landmines making complaints. They are clearly marked and I know that after carfully mining objectives some idiot from my team has run all over my landmines killing himself and then complained on many an occasion.

This can also be used as a greifing tool, keep running over freindly landmines and making complaints and before you know it an engineer has been kicked for no reason, or one that i saw myself the other day was some guy running over landmines and complaining so the engineers had exp taken away so he could finish first on the scoreboard. People like that should be shot on sight.

As for the medics killing people and reviving them, if i had 20 hp left and a medic killed me i would complain, its not up to you to decide somebody would be better off dead, and i have also seen meidcs running around and doing this to up thier exp to get high places on the scoreboard.

If i had a medic shooting me every time i was low on hp and then reviving me i would prolly shoot the fu***r, I may be about to make a shot that turns the tide, or i may be carrying an objective thats needed and the only way i want to die is by the enemies hand.

That’s not possible, as explained elsewhere on these forums, Medics don’t get XP for reviving team-mates they’ve killed.

Do you play under that name? If so, remind me never to come to your aid when I’m on your team.

Its likely that everybody shoots their own teammate at least once in a game if not many more times. It cannot be helped except for those n00bs who are using aimbots.

Well, people should look where they are going. Seriously, we all get sick and tired of complains filed against us and Im sure soemthing will be done about this… I bet 9 out of 10 people want complaints turned off for mines.

Suit yourself! I would be pleased for the medic taking his time reviving me and getting my health up.

and how do you define ‘low health’? If I start shooting you with my SMG your health will ‘slowly’ go down, the bullet that’ll kill you will usually hit a body with <20 HP. So you were on low health and cant complain ?? And that TKer will kill regardless is not true, there are already the ‘bleeders’ who will only shoot you to very low health but not kill you, these are the guys who would abuse the LowHealth = NoComplain rule for sure !

Ahh , by reading that it tells me that you haven’t really even played this game much.

(Cosmos) #10

Well gold can be picked up remember. :drink:

(FstFngrz) #11

But from that qoute ,fyrespray dont even know that a big ICON shows over head.

(Cosmos) #12

They are abusing the game anyway. The no complain on low health <20 or <30 or whatever would make an important difference to gameplay if it was brought in. TKers can shoot everyone and anyone… we can’t help that unless we kick them ASAP or there is an admin around. Thats why I like playing on the big well known servers they are monitored well. But for the medium and smaller servers they are harder to monitor. I think nocomplain should take effect if somebody has only been killed by only <20 of their health. So a TKer can still be complained against if he started firing when the player was on 30-100HP.

(Cosmos) #13

  I don’t even think he knows how to fire his gun.

Good point, a Medic that tries a TK/revive on the Objective carrier whilst enemy are bearing down, is a real stupid Medic and probably deserves a complaint. However, if I were the Objective carrier and was on low health, I’d never complain if a Medic on full health TK’ed me in order to take the Objective and get it safely home.

Or the medic could just stop and give you med packs if not, then its good that the medic would take the objective off you because the medics are always receiving health and are more likely to reach their destination. But a loss in a backup member could prove costly. Perhaps a feature where we can pass the objective to another person or drop it would be good.

Complaints HAVE DROPPED.

I rarely get filed on anymore.

If I do,

I CONFRONT THE PERSON IMMEDIATELY.

“WHY DID YOU FILE ON ME? filersNIC”
wait wait
“WHY DID YOU FILE ON ME? filersNIC”

“I HATE STUPID FILERS”

“filersnic WHY DID YOU FILE ON ME???”

“ONLY FILE IF INTENTIONAL.”

“I HATE STUPID FILERS”

“filersnic WHY DID YOU FILE ON ME???”

“Im the only medic on team, and u file…You get nothing from me.”

“BOYCOTT filersnic for Complaint filing”

then follow him/her around next spawn, wait till he dies, drop med packs around his body, alternating needle jabs (that miss :), they usually get the point.

If you are working as a team ya (almost) never file on your teammates.

Just a with most any game The server can usually make or break it. The balance and who play’s there.

i’m fully aware that there is an icon aboue your head, and yes i have played ET a fair old bit. If a medic killed me while i had an objective so he could take it home safely that would annoy the hell out of me too. Yes i know the idea os for the team to win but if i have gone through all the hard work of getting the damn thing i would at least like to be able to deliver it.

As for the medics killing and reviving for little or no reason, i’ve seen it happen on server and assumed they were getting xp for it and thats why they were doing it (this guy was killing and reviving people who were right next to a command post fully stocked up with health packs, don’t tell me that he was making a tactically sound descision). if i’m wrong about the xp i guess there are medics out there that think it gives them xp and that’s why they are doing it.

Just to clear it up i don’t complain if i’m shot at by mistake, if the same person accidently shoots me like 5 times in a row then it really stats to get on my nerves and they start getting complaints. Yes the odd bullet goes astray and i realise that but its really not that hard to check who your shooting at before you let fly.

I’ve obviously played it more than some

LOL. If you want a good team, make some friends or clan or whatever and play together… much more effective.

(DG) #19

erm, everyone has to go past “low health” whenever getting killed, tk or otherwise. leave the complaints on, just dont tk-revive noobs

(FstFngrz) #20

nice out of context qoute

Dont take me wrong I am one of the nicest and most helpful people to play with, I’ve been playing online for years A lot. I answer most ?'s asked on servers (binds, commands, links, ect), and always offer help if its needed.

But if I’m gonna dedicate 1+ hrs to a game I’m not gonna let some one kick me for unintentional TK’s.

Ask nicely why filed?
wait wait…educate
