Yes. I rarely feel the need to respawn with how quickly I regen to 50hp out of combat, but maybe if I had a spawn timer I would always respawn (who knows).

Ok, good points idd.
With the current spawn values, spawn locs,& positioning and map design (and we don’t know what is definitive or wip) it’s quite a headache so I went for a simplistic approach.
But I’m still curious why regen was introduced in DB in the first place. I’d really like to know why (and not just because “every modern one has it”) and if people really can’t do without it now that they had a taste.

There are some problems with the game now.

  1. Highpinger have a really really really great advantage. I seeded the game yesterday so i played with ping 150-190 and it fellt like god mode on! You dont kill the enemy faster but they cant kill you and most of the time they die after taking cover so i cant see them.
    If this doesnt change i will allways make my connection bad to be in favour in a competion match… FIX IT!!! QUICK!!! Low Ping should allways have an advantage!!!

  2. Making the head Hitbox smaller sounded great. But it made a U-Turn. Now aiming at body fells like having a lower TTK then aiming at the head! So this favours the bad players. And you could see it in the overall stats today!

  3. There a not enough medics playing atm! Lowering both ammo and regen was bad.

  4. Autosniper fells to powerfull and the normal sniper is just useless. Mostly because of the smaller head hitbox and the RTCW kind of sniper animation…

For me and my teammates the game feels extremly bad atm!

When I have high ping I get hit beeps and they don’t register because damage priority already goes to low pinger. People still can’t make up their mind “high ping/low ping”. If they die it’s pings fault usually it seems… since day 1 of alpha.

na Inferno. Highping is really a huge advantage atm. Sure you are a great player but you shouldnt be that good with your ping vs us… If we would do a 1on1 you would allways have the better K/D even in a sniper duel.

Playing with highping yesterday fellt so extremly easy…

Isn’t it usually not that hard for you though anyway :tongue:. Maybe it’s because I haven’t had the chance to play on NA much lol. Most times for me though I get delays on kills while the server sorts out the damage, but most cases I hear too many beeps and either am dead or over kill. Sniping is really hard for me because I have to be really fast on high ping since it seems low ping can see you first. I just remember when Sid was playing DIS guys and they decided low ping was the advantage after all. I know some NA players refuse to play with over 100 ping in DB because they say it’s “impossible”- I just don’t know what to believe other than my own experience. I mostly consider DB to be much less annoying to play with high ping than most games where I am completely handicapped at 180+. It would be nice to hear an update on the net code from Mitsu though.

  1. Damage Falloff over distance it to high.

  2. EDIT:

We testet bodyshot dmg and headshot dmg.

With Arti you need 3 headshots and only 7 bodyshots. And with the high ROF it really doesnt favour aiming at the head tha much…

Stop Rewarding BAD Players!!

Less Spread! Lower Body shot Damage 3 Tink Head shot with small hitboxes!

Medics are the base of the game make them strong. The term Rambo Medics was made for a reason and are need or at least that strength is needed. There wouldnt be a Rambo Medic is Players is Rambo with the Medic. Those people are going to Rambo with any class that is the strongest however Medic needs to be strong because thats the heart of the game play and keeps thing rolling with RV’s and HP back to others. If no HP or RV’s people arent going to push and you will create a camp game! DUMB! Strong Medic = Strong Pushes!

Not to come across as forceful or anything, but SD needs to test run a general overall lower RoF on all weapons for 1-2 weeks and just see how people respond. Just an overall lowering by a 0.XXX value across the board. Start at RoF and see if that is enough to solve the complaints. If we simply try something like this then we avoid saturating the forums with repetitive demands and can finally all be satisfied by the basic weapon mechanics once and for all.

Is a lower RoF a turn off? Reflexively perhaps. So to satisfy that group you can simply increase HS damage. Middle ground can be achieved through much different methods than it is currently. If one method sucks, try another, etc etc. We can test it all right?

I’m eager to test anything new/different because slow spoon fed patches might reduce the overreacting hate posts or avoid confusing those who don’t understand the term alpha, but it makes me feel like all I am supposed to do is play and not test. I want to test, anything, anything at all or I won’t end up online for a month :(. I get that tests need to be incremental to get accurate results, so let’s test the crap out of the basic stuff before adding in everything else. I don’t care if there’s more loadouts, etc until I experience a completely solid and final phase of everything at the most basic level.

It’s an objective game, Medics don’t do objectives, they’re not the base of the game, get over it.

They weren’t made, and there was no reason. SD added the facility for players to pick up dropped enemy weapons, which they couldn’t do in RTCW, in the name of making the game more “accessible” (i.e. dumbing it down). This made Medics self-sufficient, and hence, by accident, the rambo Medic was born. Past mistakes don’t need to repeated, this game doesn’t need to be blighted by the rambo Medic curse.

Make Soldiers strong, strong enough to be attractive to the “rambos” and strong enough not to need C4 to give them a purpose. Make Medics better able to do their job by dramatically improving the revive shield.

That works fine for you inferno but there are some schedule realities and lead times that mean sometimes we just have to push ahead with certain things at this stage of dev, even though we’d like to endlessly prototype as well.

Does that mean we are stuck with near final versions of most things? I’m just never sure whether I’m beating a dead horse and should move on or not. I get the schedule stuff, but I never know what can be further tested and what can’t.

I assumed he was referring to things like sound recordings, fx, animations, etc that match up with the game mechanics making it hard to change them significantly without having to redo everything. If they are busy with other stuff atm I can wait, but I’d rather know if I am waiting or if things are mostly permanent. Helps to produce actual helpful feedback.

No, it doesn’t mean you are stuck with near final things, what I mean is we can’t make lots of radical changes to test quickly, because some take quite a bit of work even to prototype or are held up by other critical work that has to be done now because it takes months to execute.

As Jonny Hex said the other day we do want to send some more radical prototypes and changes your way, but they won’t happen over night.

Excellent then. I can wait as long as it takes, but it can be unclear what is happening exactly sometimes and what is realistically possible.
