Dirty Bomb Menu Overhaul V.3

Note: This is not a mod! Simply a well rounded concept!

A couple months back I made a discussion on changing the Dirty Bomb Menu(s) using Photoshop.
After these months I would say I have improved in my Photoshop skills. (mostly me making fake and leaky stuff in the forums)

Version One: Here

So I present to you my thirdish edition of my Dirty Bomb Menus.

Main Menu:

Rundown:

#1 - You can change your clan tag without entering console.
#2 - (Fake Update) Cooperative Survival game mode.
#3 - Past items from in-game drops, and loadouts found in cases.
#4 - Fake Update Continued.


Squad Menu:

Rundown:

#1 - All of the mercs organized by class.
#2 - 3D of the merc in your squad.
#3 - The name of your card and the name of your merc.
#4 - Swapping mercenaries between your roster above.
#5 - The loadouts augments.
#6 - Buttons to change the skins team color between Friendly and Enemy.
#7 - Viewing your loadout like you would in your inventory.


Barracks Menu:

(Generally just movement of the current menu)

#1 - 3D of the highlighted merc.
#2 - Your mercs loadout of weapons, to view the augments you can go further in depth in the Squad Menu.
#3 - Organized mercs by letter and class.

Todo list -
Trading Menu.
Lobby Menu.
Any further suggestions.

This is beautiful. I would change 2 things though:

  1. Organizing mercs by class is great, but I would add some more visual indicators.
  2. visible card - on the right above merc name maybe?

Can we all just take a moment and admire OPs fucking awesome photoshop talent? He spent time making A COMPLETELY NEW MERC AND A BANNER FOR A FAKE UPDATE THAT LOOK SICK AF!!!

You know there is a problem when the community is able to do way more awesome things than anything the studio shat from their butthole til now. Sadly its not very probable that we ever see this in Dirty Bomb.

I say find a team and do your own fucking game with black jack and hookers.

I’m mostly doing these sorts of things as a hobby.

Do I want SD to change some things about Dirty Bomb?
Yes, I feel input, especially visual input can amount to the idea of, ‘what can be changed’ or ‘what can be added.’

If I could be included in any game, or really any forms of design, I would love to do it!
I love doing menus, website art/design all for fun, but might consider it later down the road.
Doing these kinds of things is why I suggest making suggestions. :wink:

I’d link the voiceclip where Aura says “looking good”, but I can’t bother going through the video with all her voice clips to find just that one so I hope you read that in her voice anyway

There’s a big difference between using photoshop to show what the UI would look like and actually coding it.

Haha, I could retire if I had a dollar for every “feature request” that is a Word document with a pasted picture from MS Paint with a scribbled button that “just does this little thing I need”… Where “little” means anything from “no existing supercomputer is fast enough” to “we need to scan your brain and insert it into an AI to do that” :smiley:

Doesn’t change the fact there’s a big difference. Right now the UI is good enough and shouldn’t be something they should focus on. Perhaps once the game is ready to fully release it could be worked on, but until then what we got now does the trick.

I like both the squad menu and the idea for survival, but idk what i think of the barracks besides the seperation of mercs by class.
