I realy dont understand why you are all so happy about this…
why all this luncher stuff… what ever it name is… steam, nexon origon… why not simply the game and whats it?!
ET … for example… great game… without any launcher platform…
ETQW also great game for me but many players gone after the last patch and steam could not stop this.
if you give me the coice DB with steam for free or DB without all this for 60€ … I will pay the 60€

Im thinking some type of launcher is needed now days specifically one that can support the store… Steam Wallet, user base, friends list many other things will help DB because hugely popular!
Games have changed a lot since ET and ET:QW and F2P with a Launcher that can handle all this stuff is a cash cow. Its all about the $$$ and Steam as a launcher gives SD the best possible chance to cash in…
TBH I was skeptical about Nexon at first but with the power of media and Nexon money this game can be push to every outlet in the world. I hope when Nexon makes a TV spot the drop spookify somewhere in the mix just like “The Dirt #1” 
This will show my parents I have made something of my life hahahahaha!!!
But TBH one of the biggest concerns about Nexon is the servers themselves… It would be great for Nexon to drop some IT nerd stats on us about their plans to either handle the huge influck of players to come in open beta but most important their goal or ideas on how to make sure servers are FAST, stable and the best darn servers for the game so that servers and server performance is a non issue.
I didnt read all the stuff here, but I have one question:
DB is going to be on steam, is Nexon needed any longer?

Hahaha!!! Just don’t let fame change you ok? I’m also sure we will have a community day here at Nexon/an event so there’s another chance for some on-camera fun.
Absolutely understand the concerns here. We are going to be doing some stress tests soon to see what happens and then go from there.
and i will remain bitter, skeptical until i see these new developments in January…
Does this mean I will still be able to go to the Nexon site and log in with my Nexon Id and play. Because I don’t want to have to create a Steam account to play Dirty Bomb I want to play using my Nexon ID

I dont like F2P, i dont like nexon and i dont like the crate & keys stuff.
But i like the game and i like steam. I think steam is the best thing that could happen to this game. Im not a life long steam user but i think i know why people like steam.
This is my Steam version:
No nexon launcher. (People hate this. Forcing third party launchers its not nice)
Workshop + Marketplace = Keys and Crates. Kaching!
Trading Cards. There are badge collectors and people that only buy games for cards.
Community. Forums, Groups, etc. We could be more in contact whith other players and
and share our experience whith other people.

hopefully it will not going to be like shit from ubisoft, where even if you bought steam version and want to launch it from there, it will start uplay anyway. So on the end you have 2 launcher.

1st of all, Nexon launcher is very laggy. I brings aroung +10 to ping(was proved several times and discussed on SD forums), and also adds some laggs
so steam is much better.
2nd of all. Steam is a great player base/advertisement/news platform
i can easily see players from tf2(and other valve fps games) starting to show interest in DB since it is in steam - while not even know about it otherwise.
3rd of all. ETQW was a great game, and it was a great success. but Brink wasnt. it would have been a risky move to go make 60$ game after Brink. f2p is a nice move. (keeping in mind it will remain NOT PAY 2 WIN)
I think what my good friend Freze is trying to say is will there be upgrades to the Nexon servers that could possible make them run smoother or better?

I missed out on the original beta, being a diehard longtime ETQW player I am sooo looking forward to playing this multiplayer on Steam - bring it on!!
Will modding involving client side benefits and entertainment, such as modified player skins/models and custom HUDs be allowed (none of this involving hacks or anything related to hacks)?
