These are all features that we’re looking into but nothing final yet. For event prizes and the like we have some thing in the works to reward players (other than in NX.)
This would be awesome. Not enough games support competition. I guess that is why they die out rather quickly rather than keep going strong for many years.
Agree. We are very VERY eager to be involved in e-sports and the like.

You mean new players yes? No official ETA but we are planning to send out more waves after the new year.

(Stealth187) #43

that is good news, many people won’t touch games unless they are on steam for some reason but i am glad i played it regardless

(OneBagTravel) #44

So no more Nexon??? YES This is what will get me back into playing Dirty Bomb

Thanks for finally getting steam on board. This is what should have been done a year+ ago.

@OneBagTravel‌ Nexon is still the publisher. Please refer to this
Hi @spookify‌ , Nexon is still the publisher of Dirty Bomb for both development and live operation. That means that we partner with Splash Damage to set development priorities for the game, run the game servers and back-end database servers, handle marketing and community, and run events – among lots of other things. Really nothing’s changed for us except we’re doing it on Steam instead of on the Nexon Launcher.
(fuzzel) #46

so we can now deinstall dirty bomb and the nexon launcher…this is not longer needed?

(flatteringGlove) #47

will we still be able to play with our Nexon accounts?

(outspokenHaven) #48

linux/steamos support? (The only reason to boot windows is dirty bomb as far as i’m concerned…)

(BeardyDuck) #49

I’m assuming this means the ambiguous tweet regarding my question of “when will the NDA be removed” that says “sooner than later” means this move to Steam has something to do with the NDA being lifted, or at least soon to be lifted after the migration to Steam, correct?

Does this mean I will still be able to go to the Nexon site and log in with my Nexon Id and play. Because I don’t want to have to create a Steam account to play Dirty Bomb I want to play using my Nexon ID

(INF3RN0) #51

Hehe… you may want to look up how steam works, it’s a digital distribution platform. You’ll need to create a steam account.

My question was can we still use our Nexon accounts to play the game I know how steam works. Maplestory can be played both through Nexon and Steam so I was wondering if it was going to be like that.

(MissMurder) #53

Sure you can uninstall it if you wish.

The game will run exclusively on Steam so you will have to create a Steam account to play.

Sort of. Still working out an exact ETA for the lift but it’s not going to be months and months of waiting.

(ramnes) #54

Freaking awesome !

Since Steam and Unreal Engine are also on Linux now, I really beg you to make a Linux version.

(Freze) #55

Good news, but what with game servers? i hope you dont use more nexon srv !?

There are no plans for that at this time.

(FireDragon) #57

Those are great news !!
But… Does this means Montenegro will be finally in the list of supported countries and I will be finally be able to try this amazing looking game ?
One of the forum mods answered that it was the devs omission that MNE doesn’t have support and that is gonna be fixed, but I still can’t play it… :frowning:

(MissMurder) #58

@FireDragon‌ I am so happy to report that Montenegro will be supported.

(spookify) #59

I think what my good friend Freze is trying to say is will there be upgrades to the Nexon servers that could possible make them run smoother or better?

(FireDragon) #60

Amazing !!
I’ve been around here for quite a while by now, but never got the chance to try the game.
Thank you, can’t wait to try out the game
