Dirty Bomb becomes Extraction

(Jamieson) #41

Hey guys just got back on these forums, been away with RL issues and had full access before I stopped playing in the Alpha, so could someone explain how I should go about things from now on?

As you always did Jamie (and you probable have a lot of catching up to do on the alpha forums).

Hey Funk! Good to hear from you, so how do I go about playing now? Do I download a new launcher?

Everything is the same as it was before. You’ll need to update to the latest available version of the game. The platform hasn’t yet moved over to Nexon. That’s scheduled to be going ahead on the 15th of this month.

More info can be found in the Alpha forums.

Extraction. So does this change the over-lining story of what was once Dirty Bomb?

Also, did Splash Damage start Dirty Bomb knowing full well they were going to sell it off to a publisher? I thought this was the whole point of WarChest, to host the games internally.

This is a strange bit of news.

Hate to bring this up, but Nexon (or was it Splash Damage?) already did what of I was afraid - Baltic States (although they are all in European Union etc.) are already excluded from Europe (funny, isn’t it?) and as a consequence - we can’t register our keys for EU version (only if using VPN). Any comments on that? Will it stay like that or we can expect even more absurd Europe division?

Maybe someone can tell me how can I play on servers where I belong?

(reinisze) #48

yeah, i noticed that as well, but i study in uk so no issues there for me.
atliek tikai cerēt, ka kaut kas mainīsies.

Well I guess SD sold dirty bomb to destiny development. And region lock is I guess likely a part of the contract.

So basically you belong to Dirty Bomb. It’s a different game than extraction, al though it looks the same, but destiny development has controll over balancing the game, because they know the CIS market better…

But SD said they are looking at cross regional play, but as there are two different version of the game with different balances you can guess already that it’s most likely not gonna happen.

Beware of the holy headshot

Believe it or not - 2/3 of Baltics still are considered to be NOT in Europe <3
I just love how Splash Damage, together with Nexon fced up Extraction (by just teaming up with Pay2Win experts). <3
Prove me wrong. <3
