Directx12 and Dirty bomb

Guys…Direct X 12 does nothing for Dirty Bomb unless it’s developed on it, and Direct X 9 is for XP. Which means they are trying to allow people with an older os to be able to run this game…which is funny because anyone still using XP prob wouldn’t be able to run it anyhow unless they’re too stubborn to switch to 7 or 10.

This honestly is probably my biggest gripe, the specs they recommend to play the game, vs what is actually needed are completely different from each other.

actually they use DX9 because UE3 loves it

check the specs, they’ve changed

I think the minimum specs actually say Windows 7. That’s not the reason that the game is using DX9. It’s using DX9 because the engine originally used DX9 and everyone that uses it can’t be fucked making it use newer versions. Especially when DX9 works good ‘enough’.

Any engines developed from this point on will probably use DX11 and at least support DX12. Or I would hope so, given how big a milestone this is.
