Diffirent serverlist!

(Tomppeli) #1

We have two computers with Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory (Ubuntu Linux 7.04 ETver. 2.60b and Windows XP SP2 ETver. 2.60), but we can’t play in same server becuse we don’t have same serverlist. Why? Those computers are in same internet connection (adsl).

set a different port number in one of the command lines

It’s also possible to input an ip for connection.
I would recommend an external serverbrowser.
XQF is one for Linux.
Theres a package for Ubuntu 7.04 that can easily be installed va Synaptic.

Thanks! I will try them tomorrow.

(Tomppeli) #5

Oh…how I can set the diffirent port number?

(TF) #6

net_port 27960
27960 is default (i think)

(Tomppeli) #7

Do you mean I must write at console in ET “net_port ???”? ??? is a new port number.

(TF) #8

I think you have to add +set net_port ??? at the end of the command line that starts your server.

(murka) #9

or the ET shortcut, it cant be changed in-game AFAIK

(TF) #10

If you try changing it in game it says that you have to restart server for this to take effect.

EDIT: My bad

(Tomppeli) #11

Oh I’m not doing own server. I just want play ET whit my brother in same internet connection, but we can’t. If we try connect to same server second computer can’t do it. Why? It just give an error.

EDIT: Windows version wasn’t 2.60 it was 2.55 I must update it.
