I have to admit that I haven’t played the Enemy Territory test for a few days (busy week), but now its the weekend and I started it up, but it can’t get any servers to come up, so I’m wondering if the master server for Enemy Territory went down, or if there’s a redirect problem on the IP table of my ISP, or what.
Any help would be great.

if you want to see if the master server is down you can go to start > programs > accessories > command prompt/MSDOS prompt and type in:
for wolf i think its just master.idsoftware.com.
If it doesnt ping, its either your firewall, your ISP’s routing or the server itself is down. If you swap “ping” with “tracert” you get more info about the path to the server- basically if it times out, gets VERY high ping or a “destination net unreachable” at a “hop” server halfway there, its probably your ISP routing, if it gets nowhere its probably your firewall and if it makes it to every hop except the master then its probably the master server down 
Either way All Seeing Eye (or pathfinder, gamespy, whatever) should be fine and personally I prefer it a lot anyway.

Yep, master server is still down, and when ppl try to host it says they need a punkbuster patch – hope someone gets the master back up soon.

Not all hosts will actually respond to ICMP ping requests. A nice way to query the master server is to use Qstat (from http://www.qstat.org)
qstat -rwm,71 etmaster.idsoftware.com:27950 -u -sort pn -progress

Its funny, yes I have noticed that i’m getting no servers, but up top at the message of the day it says ET test Version 2.32. What does this mean?
its just the default messag e- most probably in built into ET
hopefully it would be good to get a MOTD from idsoftware just to make sure the master list is up
then if there’s no MOTD you know the master list is down - and hence stop posts accross the Internet “Is the master list down?”
