with phantom patch it got worse for me i also got another issue. like in stat unit 4 out of 3 gives me around 5ms and later the Frame one is at 15.73ms which is around 60 fps. this happends from time to time no idea how to fix it.
later with this patch i also seem to get a huge freaking lagg like, a sniper can shoot me and on my screen i survive and 200-300ms later i die to that same shot like i hear i get hit 200ms later i get hit again and die but it is the same bullet and im sur e about it, it is like it register some hits twice for me, and sometimes if i get hit i warp back abit get hit a million times and die and i cant move. it also feels like i die like twice as quick like i can see aenemy shoot him in the back with hofs and i hit him 3 times aout of maybe 20 bullets and i hear like 6 hits super fast and my aim is in the sky and im dead, i got shot by a dreiss ar and in 1 sec i was hit 4 times and dead i have nver gotten hit 4 times by a dreissar in 1 second before like that, either it is trying to catch up what is happening or some shots for me register like 2 shots but only getting damaged by like 1 and the second one is to like make sure it really did hit me, it also feels like it dont register all my button mashing i do. like i try todo a longjump with phatnom and use my sword but it ends with me crouching and using my sword and it ignores my jump. same with happends alot of times if i packpedal jump and shoot i jump lime 1mm back and later stop and just do a normal jump without moving backwards. anyone els feel the same thing?
aimpunch feels like it hit harder than other people but this might be a effect from the lag i talked about earlier beacuse it feels like i get hit twice as fast and often as before the patch, if they hit me onces my aim is like 3 times higher up than the models size and sometimes it can be abit to the side of were i was aiming to.
It’s now unplayable for me. Take this example:
See an enemy with the obj running to drop point. Go to take them down, mouse input completely freezes, and then they warp and die, and the obj is miles away. This is pretty much my guaranteed experience if anyone >100 ping is on the server.
I experiement much more teleportations than previous patch, I record also number of warps like this one.

Good thing that SD ignore the issue, as if having the worse audio possible wasnt enough they gonna fight with battlefield series for the worse netcode.
Why don’t we just sit tight and let them do their job. They’re the ones who know what they’re doing, not us.
They have their feedback now and are probably working on it. So far, it’s a mint game, I was stupid not to accept my invite for closed beta, but we learn from these mistakes. Although years on, the game is still in it’s early stages.
Sadly since phantom patch not by far, i would even dare to say that at this point i rather take battlefield hit detection, at least its constantly bad so i can cope with that (and its bad for everyone).
Right now its a lottery, it works for 30sec then it doesnt for another 5 min, with delayed shots, failed registration or when i get killed by something that shouldnt have kill me, all of this at sweet 50 ms. Worse thing about it is the fact that it worked A LOT better before the patch but splash damage is silent about it now. It piss me off that i cant play something that i enjoy and i dont even know if its going to get fixed as it seems that not everyone have the issue (which is even worse because i dont have a chance against someone who doesnt have the issues) =/

Yes, there is something about the hit detection in this game that is absolutely infuriating. My ping is below 35 but I can often tell immediately if I’ve just been killed by someone with a ping above 70. The higher someone’s ping, the more often hits just don’t register against them. Even at close range you can watch a shotgun shot “hitting” but see that their health hardly went down at all. Obviously things will never be perfect for high ping players, but 70 isn’t even that high. They shouldn’t be dodging bullets and warping around corners. The Phantom patch also introduced the new problem of high-ping Phantoms getting a “ping shield” in addition to their normal shield. For some reason Americans often choose to play on EU severs, making the problem even worse.
This hardly makes the game unplayable but it is very annoying and can induce violent coughing fits. We need a ninja deer to rectify this.
Having said all of that, everything does seem fine as long as everyone’s ping is below 50. But why should such small differences in ping make such a big difference? It is a mystery.

Needs to get addressed. Someone needs to look at the servers really. Analyse them. Packet drops, anything. It makes you really loose trust in an integrated game which makes sense, where when you shot at something, it actually shoots there, and vice versa, and that in a reasonable timeframe (getting shot by bullets shot 2 minutes ago = no fun).
The prediction in such cases (lots of server lag) is horrible also. It makes players who make a turn from one direction to another do this in absolute high speed. It totally puts the physics out of the game and it goes so deep in my brain, it makes me think uninstalling (which i wont).
I hope this will somehow get addressed.
Yea, since hotfix its unplayable again, no registration/delay/warping. I will say it without shame, at this point battlefield hit detection is better. I would expect some comment from SD at this point but i guess i expect too much.
I will gladly provide a video of the current issues but its pretty much the same thing that i had on video last time. I honestly dont even want to play anymore =/.

My guess is that everybody does get the same issues but some people just notice them much more than others. I find it’s most noticeable with shotgun shots at medium range.
The easiest solution would just be to prevent people from playing on some servers outside their own region. Most high-ping players don’t have a “genuinely” high ping – they’re just on the other side of the planet from the server. The high-ping players who actually are using their closest server must be in a tiny minority.
Yesterday I was in a competitive match with someone with a ping of over 900. Why is this allowed?

It depends what is causing it… it could for example be a server farm, where on some servers the load just gets to high, while another server is running perfectly fine. This could be bad management of the servers, but it could also be a single instance of DB going crazy on CPU/RAM -basically ruining the whole server… There are so many variants which could cause this.
At best players which have that issue, could use WinMTR to gather information about connection to server (well while having that issue), so SD could get some useful information.
E.g. you could have horrible experience on server, but for unknown reason your connection and server is running perfectly.

Since it happens “sometimes”, my strong guess is it has todo with the network side of things, most likely bad servers, which in turn eat into some client codes. The strange ping code in this game is also something i have in the back in my mind.
My game is running perfectly fine, no hitreg issues, no warping/lagging apart from the people whose ping is fluctuating a lot.
My hardware was recently upgraded. I can run newest games without any problem. So it can not be my (or anyone elses) ‘reasonable’ hardware.
I give up, seriously. No one had high ping. i didnt lag or had any internet problems (stable 60ms, didnt register any PL for whole day), it happens randomly (but after hot fix is like that all the time for me) and it seems that it doesnt affect everyone which is horrible for people that are affected =/.

On scene 2 you can see how not every bullet is getting registered, everything is jerky and fragger model do the same thing as sparks model. The amount of blood i had on my screen without losing hp was pretty silly as well.

All the scenes were taken from 1 round, but i assure you that it happens most of the time. to be honest it looks fine to me. When crosshair is directly on the model you get a hit (most of the time, excluding spread issues). When your crosshair is off the model you don’t get hits.
Maybe its easier for me to spot seeing that i can make it even slower for me (then again you can do that at youtube now) and im 100% sure that i had hit registration on sparks when my crosshair wasnt on her model. It is possible that it was simply pretty major delay so it only reached her when i was out of her model.
On fragger clip i am also 99% sure that more hits should register + it feels delayed as well which ruin my aim.
In the end there is something horribly wrong with models and game warp as hell, there shouldnt even be a discussion about that. Also while i can never be 100% sure that there was no registration because of delays, i am 100% sure that there is A LOT more delay than in kira patch (or rather, its inconsistent as ****) which makes me miss more because i think that i miss my target when in reality there is 100ms delay before it registers. My aim is based on consistent tracking but when things start to lag/warp/disorder then its pretty much impossible for me to hit anyone + i simply feel when there is something wrong.
Also, its pretty easy to see that skyhammer is getting hit when my crosshair is below him and there even is a blood splatter far away from his body.

Just checked my older video from kira patch and a video after phantom patch: In kira patch i had hit marker after 3 frames, in phantom patch i had hit marker after 4 frames, felt like more when i played. Not sure if 1 frame is enough to screw my aim so hard, but when i add jerky models and warps to the mix its getting pretty silly.
