devmap causes game to crash

I cannot do ‘devmap’, because if I do the game will crash. It’s been like this for a long time.

Could anyone please help me out?

The only way to solve this seems to be deleting your custom pk3 files or loading the map first with /map , then /devmap. You could try setting /sv_pure to 0 too but that doesn’t seem to help much in my case.

I found that /devmaps can crash alot if your using default com_hunkmegs. Make sure its set at the corerct value for your system specs.

If u have ETPro, just run the game and type /forcecvar sv_cheats 1. It’ll do the same as devmap (well, if it doesn’t do anything else than simply turning on sv_cheats, I’m not sure of this).

If this is an ET problem, maybe you should post it in the ET forum?
And if its ET u r trying to run, you might also find /g_gametype 2 very useful.

Clear out your custom .pk3’s in both ETPro and etmain folder if this problem occurs again. Campaign pk3’s cause this problem especially, I hear.
