They ignored all of the salty people and others were actually asking legitimate questions like me they answered, stuff like,“Are any changes coming?” and they said they might change a bit about it, stupid that they didnt say much on it as if they dont fix stuff soon, vets are gonna leave
Meh. I more and more read “vets are gonna leave” applied to comments regarding economical and side party subjects like CMM. As far as I know, I see very few actual vets caring about those in particular. Most of the founders and alpha players I know still playing the game mostly play with bronze cards and just profit of their humongous play time to have better bling, and they’d also mostly prefer to have community servers than any sort of matchmaking system, even ranked.
Anyway, I am not that scared about the sluggish progress of this map. Dome was even slower to be released (dome was already on test during summer 2014), so there’s progress anyway.
I don’t know if you’d consider me a vet (level 60-ish), but I have left already. To a huge extent because of the game’s development. It’s not that I care about the crafting system in particular, but mostly that with each and every update they @$!# the community over. They have all the right ideas, but every patch that brings cool new stuff also upsets the community in some way. The way they handle these complaints is ridiculous and almost rude if you ask me (cough ReV).
Also, they can’t tell me they have more than 2 people working on the game anymore. Even I could push out content and updates faster than they do currently (I’m not even joking). I’ve been waiting for a party feature to play together with my friends for … how long? Right, MM is coming “soon” …
Long story short, they already bored out most of their core community, the ones who spent a lot of time and effort on their prior games, who partially made w:et and et:qw great on their own, even before releasing the game on steam. The scene, even for a closed alpha game, was incredible, in respect of the playerbase at that time. But many left, globally for the same reason you mention, no matter the expectations.
