That is somewhat correct, however these people should be placed as lower-end Bronze instead of Silvers, even Golds they’re now. Resetting ranks for the season and now that ELO should be functioning, so that “default” first rank isn’t always least a Silver and dropping to Bronze doesn’t take mind-whopping 800 consecutive losses or something ridicule, these bot-like clueless players will be put and stay in such ranks, and thus play with their kind. All being equally terrible on their own, instead of getting matched with Golds and even higher who might already know which end of the gun goes pewpew.

Why yes, it is possible by all means but please, it’s often unlikely and result mostly in 1 sided stomp instead. Which is the reason people have been requesting separation of solo+duoque from premade que for ages. Besides 3-premade can already cover up crucial spots in the class composition and function as quite efficent squad with crossfiring and all that, if enough skilled can surely take down a 5 man less experienced group on almost their own.

I could argue very little people enjoy getting their face smashed with a iron mounted boot shot from a rocket launcher and even fewer are those who say they actually learned something from it afterwards, other than 5/5 spawncamp positions. Sure, it is good feature not to give up easily, but good morale alone takes one only so far, some balance has to be attempted and chance being present.

I only play with high gold-low cobalt players in our group, but we seemed to get somewhat solid 40/60 split between getting stomped by cobalt premades or stomping some poor randoms ourselves. I recall only 2-3 matches out of my ~90 ranked games being really tense with chances of winning on both sides. These “statistics” from either of our sides are biased though and go by the gut feel pretty much, both yours and mine, so only some official stats could prove it to one way or another I guess.

This is the only thing that should change. Make the default rank Silver instead, Gold is too close to Cobalt.

    The amount of cancer this just gave me… My Cancer’s Aids are now growing Cancer.

Know what happens when I try to use Vasiline now? I stop using Vasiline. Because spraying a m16 is twice as accurate, and kills twice as fast, with Mercs that have a quarter more health, and can give themselves ammo.
Not to mention, Vasiline has maybe three locations to have a strategic position in an entire map, of which, can easily be replaced with a Merc with an Assault rifle which can counter an entire team that rushes him.

The only think jump-shooting with Vasiline gave an advantage with, was not instantly dying by non-shitties that prefire instant kill headshot all day long, like SKILLED, COMPETITIVE FPS players know, and expect to do.

Well you know… Apparently, that decision was made due to one man’s personal vendetta against Vassili mains. Smooth didn’t like it when he was getting jump sniped. It was financially draining which is why he had no choice to remove it. Can you imagine all those boxes of tissue he had to go through everyday? Shit becomes expensive at some point.

I’m so ready for ranked changes. I’m trying to get cobalt before the reset, mid gold 1 atm. Had a teammate go 2-42 the first half of a game tonight while another had d/c issues. Still able to finish the 1st 2 obj on chapel in 7 or so min. Defending was a different story.

Edit: and there is something wrong, when I am pushing cobalt and can still use enemy naders as grenades.

That’s are really horrible idea. Team games are probably the the best thing at DB. You don’t want to play with randoms all the time, you want to play with your clan mates and friends. Better fix the matchmaking instead of removing the teamplay. If I want to play with randoms I do it on pub games, if I want to play with teamwork, tactics and strategy I do it on a competive match. Those are things you improve with playing over and over again with the same people not by playing with new randoms in every match.

You won’t fix the matchmaking by removing teamplay and sucking out the fun of DB. Keep the 5-man pre-mades.
