determining accuracy + one bug

(uglok) #1

Earlier today I was playing a game and had top weapon accuracies for four weapons: luger, mp40, grenade, and panzer. Needless to say, I was expecting the best accuracy award at the end of the map. I didn’t get the award, however, and that is because I used the knife to gib every enemy body I didn’t gib with my gun. In total I had around 200 knife ‘hits’ that were counted against me as misses.

I don’t think any weapon should register as swing/fire/attack if it hits a dead body or a game objective (tank, truck, etc that is). All it does is penalize people with high accuracies like myself and makes it harder to determine a person’s “actual” accuracy.

With that out of the way, here’s a bug that might be just a tiny bit hard to reproduce  If you kill a player and he flies through the air (already dead) and lands on a mine, it makes the hiss sound.

It does indeed, but it’s not a bug. Any dead body can set off the mines (which are obviously weight triggered). When the player taps out and the body sinks into the ground, the mine will go off (or if he slides past the mine it goes off)
