Demo control (W:ET)

(P4nth3r) #1

I was recoding some demo’s to tga files.
But ETPro uses F1 to F5 to record this.
What is the difference between those 5?? I asume frame rate.
but I’d like to know the precise frame rates and can’t find that anywhere.

anybody knows this??

i’m not sure atm which button has which framerate … i think f1 has lowest and f5 highest recording rate but just try this in console:
/bind f1
/bind f2

it should tell you someting with cl_avidemo number
and if you want your own framerate just type /cl_avidemo yourframerate to start recording

The defaults are:
F1 = 0 fps
F2 = 10 fps
F3 = 15 fps
F4 = 20 fps
F5 = 24 fps

You can set your own by modifying these:
seta demo_avifpsF1 0
seta demo_avifpsF2 10
seta demo_avifpsF3 15
seta demo_avifpsF4 20
seta demo_avifpsF5 24

set avion "cl_avidemo 30; set nextavi vstr avioff"
set avioff "cl_avidemo 0; set nextavi vstr avion"
set nextavi 		"vstr avion"
bind i 			"vstr nextavi"

With this, just press i button, to start record at 30FPS. and press same button again to stop.

Recording at 0 FPS = stop recording.
