Shadow Meat, reading your posts really makes me visit these forums more often than ever before. Not that it’s somewhat educational, but it’s always good for a laugh… or two.

Can you please(!!!) make an inverted upside down version with inverted colors and a
smilie face on the moon? (Having the smiling moon waving a white flag would be cool too)

For what it’s worth, ShadowMeat has the freedom to do what ever he wants, right or wrong. However, if this is what he’s going to turn out, then we all also have the freedom to completely ignore the questions he posts in the forums … and that’s a lot of questions. Have fun figuring out mapping on your own.

its a wonder so many new mappers probably give up. I know mapping for the competition community can be a chore and has driven many away from doing it, much as many of these comments people make to someone who is trying to learn will probably have the same effect. gg for being supportive, even if its another GR remake.

Just a suggestion Shadow, might take some time to read the forums here to see how people might react to something like this. Modifying GR seems to hit a sore spot with many who post here. Although it shouldnt concidering its the source issued with the editor. Seems some people are not going to be happy unless they complain…

side note: Post your problem one time… I see your posts alot and have started to not even read them just because you post so many times in a row. Answer can come quick at times here, but other times it might take a day or two. So be more patient my friend.

You’re right. -Nocturne already did something like this and you knew that…WHY COPY HIS IDEA ? (sideways or upside down…at least sideways, the map still has an obj…)

@d3coy- although you make some valid points points…there is reasoning behind the backlash of the splashdamage forum community in this specific situation.

This forum keeps itself on a ‘level’ because it is the only place that you can find such a highly concentrated and powerful resource for help. If you want to goof off or be a moron with postings…then please go post somewhere where that will be appreciated, not here.
–We are here for the cause and we help for free. If he was paying us to help him…well, that WOULD BE A different story. :nod:

Lately there seems to be a lot of modifying maps rather than creating. I have to say, I dont really like it. Please people, if you are interested in mapping create new maps, dont mess with the old ones.

With all respect: This isn’t about someone trying to learn, all he did was rotating that particular room 180 degrees and compiled it. So you can’t expect people being supportive for that achievement…
